If you know amount of times I’ve posted oysters on my account… you KNOW that this was just my perfect activity! 🦪 Check out @thecarlsbadaquafarm for info on the farm tour + tasting! We came for the oysters but were surprised at how much we enjoyed the tour and learning about the processes here! Jason was the most friendly and helpful guide. Was so cool to learn how to shuck and be able to apply the skills I learned asap when I bought a dozen oysters home with me! Of all our meals in Joshua Tree I am the most proud of our collaborative BRUNCH! This all came together with ingredients from the previous night’s dinner. I made the caprese side salad, @hello.melinda poached an egg for the first time and killed it, and @crystal.lo did the potato pancakes. We all strategized the plating from parsley sprinkle to ketchup dots 😂 definitely find friends who share your vision and you can be extra with! The open faced sandwiches have blanched spinach, bacon, the poached egg atop a garlic olive oil drizzled baguette and the potato pancakes are panko crusted. We really nailed this one!!!
