Dear @buildingbok tenant community, Thank you so much for accepting me the way you all have. For humoring each and every question I have about your business and being so willing to be humans first and foremost. It’s so hard to be a small business owner but it feels less hard with each of you who inspire me by showing up day after day believing in what you do to the core of your souls. It feels like what we’re all doing here is something more than kismet. I count my blessings daily to be here and exist in this moment in time. There is no other group of people I would want to be surrounded by. Thanks for having my back. I forever have yours. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Love you. Mean it.

This past weekend felt especially full in the best way.

There’s something so meaningful about watching flowers pass from growers’ hands, to florists’ hands, to people discovering and bringing them into their homes. I loved spending the weekend surrounded by local blooms, new connections, and conversations about flowers.

The annual Fishtown sidewalk sale is always one of my favorite weekends of the year: this time we've made superlight's own little version of a market bouquet stand and had such a lovely time meeting everyone who stopped by.

I also loved sharing local blooms and florist knowledge during our workshop, introducing flower lovers to different ways of sourcing and experiencing seasonal flowers close to home.

superlight is taking a short pause to gather new inspiration, visit new places, and reconnect with old friends.

Better late than never! 2025 by the Numbers ✅

2025 was a big year of growth and change for our small team. We formally started tackling work in Philadelphia and went from zero to sixty with a rapid uptick in projects. We added more remodeling to our repertoire in Austin and have continued to learn, grow and evolve.

Our mission continues to be getting tools into the hands of women and empowering more folks to explore the skilled trades. When reflecting on our accomplishments this year we were excited and proud to get more money into the hands of tradespeople and grow our network.

2026 will see more growth and expansion. Denver — we’re looking at YOU!

As we reflect on MB’s mission, we encourage anyone who wants to build a MB branch in their city to reach out. We’re currently wrapping our heads around what it means to bring partners into our world and would love to chat with you if you’re looking to start a handyperson or remodeling business and want to be part of the Matriarchy Build family.
