Jacksonville hardcore band Evergreen Terrace recently celebrated their 25th anniversary playing a show with pop-punk group Hello Danger and several other local acts at the venue formerly known as The Milk Bar on December 9th. I've loved these guys for many years now, and they always put on a killer show every time I see them, making the fans in the mosh pit go wild!

25 years of @evergreenterraceofficial !!!! 🔥🎉🔥 Such an amazing accomplishment & I am beyond thrilled for them & their latest milestone!!!! I couldn’t even begin to count the number of ET shows I’ve attended over the years. Always a good show, unless you get a foot to the face.

Last night was the first real time I’ve unplugged mentally since about July, when my mom first got sick. It has been gogogo since then & now it’s time to turn my attention back to myself & my well being.

Last night I received no less than 20 super solid bro hugs, all of which kept making my night infinitely better. Got to see a lot of good people. I also received a handful of nasty ass stares/faces/reactions that only cemented the following fact: Bro tats are forever. Bros are not.

There will always be that percentage of people who are going to dislike you & treat you like shit, regardless of the situation. Just realllllly sucks when it is a person(s) whom I’ve been actively supporting their career (artistic or otherwise) as best as I could for the last 20 years or so.

But hey, that’s life right? I bet most of my friends didn’t know that for 15 years, every single Sunday I was required to bubble up “trending info & products”. Every Sunday 600 & something lists get turned into about 5 lists that are seriously discussed & buying decisions would be made for the future. These decisions/trends/requests can result in HUGE changes. Licensing or merchandising deals can be made & merch is where the money is!!!!

Did you know that Netflix didn’t have a merchandising department until Stranger Things came along & a bajillion people kept requesting merch? Few months later…voila. Netflix has a merchandising department and sells merch for many different shows/movies. All because every Sunday we said “Stranger Things!!!” in our recaps.

From the first moment I began performing interviews at that company (2007?), one of my go to questions was always “Are you familiar with Evergreen Terrace?” and I would be able to gauge their current on hand knowledge of the hardcore scene, local and otherwise. Attending last night was like being able to come full circle. 🖤

Good people of Jacksonville, FL and beyond.. Some people missed our 15 year reunion show due to high demand in ticket sales.. Some were there and know it takes something pretty darn special to get the boys back together.. Can’t think of a more EPIC reason to do this again, soo it’s happening.. Don’t sleep on this, get your tix! We love you all!
