Beyond grateful for the opportunity to assist the brilliant Ellenore Scott in directing the Falsettos Reunion Concert at Carnegie Hall. Nothing like bringing our tight-knit family back together for one (make that 7 😉) unforgettable nights. I will never forget this experience and will cherish it forever.

Well. I don’t know what to say! Margaret Hall from @playbill in the last slide editorialized the moment that I was in the show better than I ever could. Since it’s hard to know what I can add, I will thank Betsy Wolfe, Cynthia Rose, and Colleen Cook, along with all the other producers, for making this happen. I will also thank everyone else who was involved, new and old, as you all made this happen. ESPECIALLY @helloellenore, an OG who directed this thing!!! And thanks Jenny Anderson and Rebecca Michelson for these fantastic photos!!!

Now I’m going to ATTEMPT to say something. “Falsettos” has become something far bigger than any of us could’ve ever thought possible. The fact that all of you have made this show endure ten years later and showed up to CARNEGIE HALL to see us is insane. It’s something that all of us, at least *I*, don’t completely understand. The scale and impact this show has made is overwhelming to me, and still a mystery! It’s kind of terrifying, but mostly an amazing thing, and incredibly moving to see how much these characters have genuinely connected with people, and even helped them.

Also, though, it was great to be back in the room with these people and demystify it just a little bit. Before it was this thing that was going to become something that would outlive its original run, it was just this really cool thing I got to do with these really cool people. And these six awesome weird people I was sharing the stage with! I’m really glad I got to realize that. I didn’t really know what was going on this past week, but I also didn’t really know what was going on then. I don’t think I will ever know what’s “going on”, but I think that that’s a relieving thing to know.

Anyway, I’ll stop there. Great job Matthew Eby, thanks for the drink Ira, you are my hero James Lapine, love you Mom and Celia and family. Thanks to everyone who has loved the show, and have made me so grateful to be part of something so meaningful! That is life! What more can I say! #falsettos #falsettosreunion

(Thanks Bill. 💙)
