Honoured to play for my Country. History made and now onto the Main Round Qualification of World Cup. Thanks to everyone for their support, couldn’t have asked for a better group to do it with 🤍💚 ✈️

An absolute honour to represent @northernireland and make history by progressing to the Main Round of the World Cup Qualifiers for the first time. To do it with this group of lads makes it even better and the support we had from the staff and supporters all week was incredible. We won’t forget this week in a hurry and now we look forward to seeing what’s next in the journey for this team🤍💚

Matthew 19:26 - “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

When I was 6, my dad brought me to my first @northernireland football game and we had to leave before the end of the game because of the anti-catholic chanting.

Fast forward 30 years and it was pretty special bringing Daragh to his first NI Futsal game earlier this week.

Of course I would have loved to have been out there on the court but in terms of the next best thing, it was incredible to follow along and support this amazing squad 💚

It may have been my first campaign not being chosen as a player, but it was also the first campaign I got to bring my son along to enjoy it with me and that (alongside the team's achievement), just makes it another unforgettable campaign 🍀⚽️

That wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for @england_futsal and I'm very grateful to their staff and volunteers that they put their hand up to host this week and then made it happen.

A lot of posts, blogs and articles about this week feeling like a turning point for NI Futsal and I think they're right. Thank you to all the staff, volunteers and players from @irishfa and @nifutsalfederation beyond who have made this week possible over the past decade.

If you're not following @nifutsalfederation and what's happening with futsal in Norn Iron, I would suggest you get on the road with us. It's something special, the likes of which our wee country hasn't seen before 💚💙

Thoughts from @hellogarth (Head Coach) on the upcoming @uefafutsal Champions League campaign;

“A lot of people in the sport here in our wee country, both domestically and internationally, have given so much to this game that is still in its embryonic stage of development. We hope that all of that work will drive us forward to achieving the success we want in Europe”.
