Here’s the last selection from the #funinspring25 challenge, Rainy day cuddle theme, one that really moved me🙏🏼✨

The way you captured emotion, tenderness, and rainy moments was pure magic. ☔️✨

Choosing was nearly impossible, but these pieces stayed with me.💓

Thank you for sharing so much heart through your art.

It’s been such a beautiful experience.
I’m already dreaming of the next one!

I had no idea what to post for the second week of #adventurousapril25 but a conversation with my inspiring co-host Marina (@by_alice_entropie) gave me the perfect idea! So, to illustrate what a journey of joy means to me, I’ve decided to show you... my process of creating the Squishy Cats!

As you can see, it took a lot of attempts and explorations before I came up with the design for the Squishy Cats. I hope this post will encourage all my beautiful artist friends who are currently on the journey of creating their own style. Relax and take your time on this adventure, each attempt is a fun challenge and an opportunity to explore your full potential. Even then, there is no need to put pressure on yourself: you can always make improvements later. Have fun!

Like Marina, you may be wondering why I chose cats and pastries? The reason is, in a world that has felt heavy for most people lately, I think it’s still possible to help those around us keep their heads up and continue to believe in a happy life, in a happy future together. So when it came to defining my purpose, I chose to create a world through my art that would inspire these values. It had to be a safe, easy place for people to come and recharge their batteries with a little spark of joy. I chose kitties and biscuits for two reasons: they’re easily relatable to most people, regardless of age/gender/culture; and they evoke heartwarming emotions and memories. The Squishy lore is easy to get into, yet can convey deep messages and thoughts in an enjoyable way. I end each story on a positive note, because that’s how I see the world; I believe that from every situation, even the darkest, there is a way to grow and change for the better.

So, thank you all for being a part of my journey of joy <3

🐦‍🔥 Meet Phoenix Squishy! 🐦‍🔥

📖 Winter is finally coming to an end - temperatures are getting milder, snow starts melting, and tiny buds are appearing here and there. In this atmosphere where nature is still sleepy, you can feel the life that has been dormant for the past few months starting to coming back to life! But a small ball of fiery energy is shaking up the nascent momentum of rebirth. Running and jumping at lightning speed, the adorable little Phoenix Squishy and his bright red wings is spreading his burning energy and vitality to all the gardens around the Squishy Donut Shop! He’s looking for little crocus bulbs. When he spots one hidden under the snow, he gently squeezes it between his hairy paws to warm it up. Then, as if by magic, the crocus flower begins to bloom! It’s then easy to tell if your garden has had the visit of Phoenix Squishy…

🏆 This is my entry for #adventurousapril25 ! I’m cohosting this challenge with my friends @by_alice_entropie @illustrations_manseetheway @designsbyohana @loracgnuel @artbyingy 🥰🩷 check out their beautiful worlds!
I’m speechless at how many of you have joined our challenge this week, I’m overjoyed, over the moon to be part of such a creative community! 😍😍🌟 the energy is amazing! I haven’t had the time to comment on every post yet, but I will 🥰 I’m so grateful to all of you, and already excited to see what you’ll create for the next prompt: journey of joy!
In the meantime, I wish you all a beautiful spring week, full of happiness and inspiration 🌷

On a walk with my partner today in some precarious places, he was clinging on to me to protect me, as I am notoriously good at falling over, and he commented on how I could fall to my death “frolicking along carefree”… which I found funny, because actually my brain was giving running commentary about how I could trip on that root and tumble into the lake, I could slip on the grass and fall off the cliff, I could fall over my own feet and smash my face on the rocks…

Nice to know he was looking after me, but I wasn’t as carefree as I seemed 😂
We made it back in one piece, and actually it was him who tripped on a root and me who caught him 🥰
