@helloodhember is making some stunning witches brooms with dried flowers and they’re just perfect, so I had to make a painting of one! Check out her page to see more of her work, maybe even get yourself a magical broom for the upcoming season. 🧹🌼🧚🏻‍♀️

This is the perspective of a cat on my counter

I want to be a mom
And I know I’m young I do
But all the women in my family have had kids before twenty five some even had three
But when my friends daughter calls me mom by accident I yearn for it to be real
When my friends kid has a dance recital and I’ve seen her grow from bluey to reading
It’s hard
My mothers mothers never got to live on their own
Never by choice
And I’m greatful I have freedom and I can go to school and I can get a degrees
So many women walked so I can run
And yet
I’m greedy and selfish
When I give a child a flower and they are no more then 3
She tackle hugs me and I fall
And I cant help but think
Cruelly and selfishly
How someone in this economy
How someone as sick as me
As someone as cruel as me
Wants a child
And yet
When my boyfriend sits patiently and teaches my nephews and nieces how to fish
All I can think is
He’s going to be a wonderful father
And I remember
I am human after all
Because I know
I will never be good enough to deserve the incredible gift
That is a human being
And yet my friend tells me through tears
You are going to be a wonderful mother

What kind of pet do you have

🇵🇸 Thank you to all the poets and our community for coming out to support our Nakba remembrance poetry event 🇵🇸

The Nakba (“catastrophe” in Arabic) refers to the Ethnic cleansing of approximately three quarters of all Palestinians from their homeland by Zionist militias and the Israeli army for the establishment of Israel. From 1947-1949, 750,000 to a million Palestinians were violently expelled just 42% of the land and refugee camps beyond its borders.

The nakba is ongoing, as Israel continues to plan and make settlements across the west bank and surrounding gaza.

Nakba Remembrance Day is the commemoration of the Nakba, observed on May 15th every year. This is now the 78th year of the Nakba.

We as Free Palestine Charleston believe in the total liberation of Palestine, from the River to the Sea, from its occupiers. We believe in Palestinians right to return to their homeland and Indigenous home towns, including refugees from the entire diaspora. We oppose zionism, which is a racist ideology that depends on apartheid and genocide to realize it’s political goals. We welcome you all to join us in struggle, in learning, in growing, and in action toward freedom for Palestine and all people oppressed by all forms of racism and imperialism.

The most direct way we can stop the Nakba from continuing is starting right here at home and shutting down Elbit and Elmec 🔨🔥 Join us every Tuesday for our picket at Elbit systems and join our campaign to get Elbit out of SC! 🇵🇸
