Visual storytelling is very powerful because people don’t just remember what they hear, they remember how something made them feel. Cinematography plays a huge role in shaping that emotional connection. Every choice, from camera movement and composition to lighting and color, can influence how an audience experiences a story. Great visuals don’t simply capture moments; they create mood, build empathy, and help viewers connect on a deeper level. Cinematography is more than a technical skill. It’s an emotional language.

As the Travel Coordinator for Season 4, Episode 1 of Ted Lasso, I had the privilege of coordinating travel for cast and crew from around the world into my hometown of Kansas City. Whether they arrived by plane, train, or rental car, my job was to help get everyone here, coordinate hotels and transportation, and provide plenty of local recommendations from coffee shops and restaurants to bars and hidden gems throughout the city.

I genuinely enjoyed working with everyone who traveled in, but there’s something special about working alongside fellow Kansas City filmmakers. This is just a small group of the talented people who helped make this project possible.

I’m incredibly grateful for each of you! Not only for the work we accomplished on Ted Lasso, but for every project we’ve shared and all of the feature projects still to come. Thank you for continuing to showcase everything Kansas City has to offer.
