My hubby and I are going to see Weird Al tonight. And as much as I am excited to…it’s bittersweet. You see, my first-ever concert was Weird Al back in 2004! My whole family went, including my dad. So to be going to see Weird Al 22 years later without my dad is really hard. I wish he was here to have fun with us. That’s the thing about grief, it never goes away. Even during the happy moments, grief sits in your back pocket, reminding you of the ache of missing your person.

I am lucky enough to get to meet @alfredyankovic tonight. I am going to have him sign my MLP card of his character, Cheese Sandwich. I wish I could tell my dad all about it. I’m grateful I get to share it with all my IG besties though. Thank you for being there for me 😭
