Train Travel – A Love Letter
🚞🥪🍓
All aboard, we’re off to Venice, Paris – or perhaps Stockholm? „Train Travel“ is a narrative non-fiction book and a visual love letter to train travel. Blurred forests, lush green fields, and sun-drenched mountain peaks — sandwiches or strawberries from the cooler bag and sleeping in tripple bunk bed on night trains. The book aims to spark curiosity, educate, encourage and inspire enthusiasm for train travel.

Hi everyone 👋 I’ve been away from posting for a while now. This was what I was going through in a nutshell. My eldest daughter age 3 years and 7 months gained her angel wings 40 days ago. After battling cancer for almost 11 months and being confirmed as cancer free… due to her weakened immunity she got a minor infection which turned into an auto immune disease which eventually made her life fade before our eyes. It was the most heart breaking experience we had to go through as parents and as a mother to watch a child slowly go away 💔

I am slowly trying to get back on track with my posting as I miss being in this amazing community. Things will never be the same in our lives but I do believe she is pain free and is in a happier place now 🤍 I LOVE YOU my angel in heaven! My brave warrior who battled till the very end! As this is the Month of Childhood Cancer Awareness, I am simply sharing a glimpse of what I went through with my daughter.

I know nothing about animation but wanted to do something that my daughter would have loved 🤍 tributing it with her favorite song 🎵

Very excited to share the magical results of a week-long picturebook-making workshop with children that I joined last week at FH Potsdam as part of the holiday program.

It was an amazing experience to work as a team of illustrators from @picturebook_fhp with the incredible @christina_roeckl Christina Röckl, organizing, planning, brainstorming, and leading the workshop together.

It was loud, messy, colourful, and full of “wow” moments. By the end, my heart was full (and my energy almost gone), I got back so much more than I gave. I feel incredibly grateful for this experience and all shared moments with wonderful, open-minded, talented kids.

Looking forward to working creatively with children and getting inspired again in the future. A new passion unlocked! Stay tuned, there will definitely be more children’s workshops on my path (and in your feed).

Hi! I‘m Yette, a design student based in Potsdam, Germany.

I am passionate about mixed media illustration, bold and warm colours, long walks in the park and hosting
brunches for my friends.

At the “Picturebook Lab” I discovered my passion for sharing inspiring stories through illustration, aiming
to empower children to grow into courageous advocates for a brighter tomorrow.

Next to my current projects I‘m very curious to explore non-fiction book ideas in the future – and would love to work together!
