Yesterday marked 1 year since we held you in our arms and even though time has passed, our love has stayed exactly where it was. ♥️

It stays nestled in your favorite blanket, in your toys that are still in the same spots, in your collar that hangs waiting for our next walk together because we still take you with us every time we go, in the sacred heart we hung above your eating place, in your sleeping basket 🧺 in the studio, in the dried flowers we brought home from last Aug 25th. It’s everywhere. Always.

It remains woven into the fabric of all of the wonderful memories we shared with your wild, soulful, adventurous little self. In the life we made as a pack and the micro moments that consistently bring you back to us.

Yesterday we spent the entire day remembering not only what we lost but everything we had.

We visited all your favorite places, the place where we found you and brought you home to us, the place where we had to let you go and every special magical memory marker in between. We told stories of you and shared photos of you with family and friends.

Today, we are writing this with tears streaming down our faces, with immense love in our hearts, and smiles bigger than ever out of gratitude for the sweetest, softest, most uncomplicated love we have ever had the privilege of having.

Enjoyed a very satisfying extended weekend visiting my family 🌵♥️ in the dez. A wild and beautiful micro burst Monsoon delayed my flight back so I got to soak up a little extra time with the ones I love.

We somehow managed to pack in a healthy and inspiring dose of fun and relaxation in my short but sweet trip.

We originally had a week long vacation planned and Daniel was going to meet me here ~ but we have some BIG plans in motion back east and some very exciting news to share here very soon! Stay tuned ♥️♥️♥️

On this Summer Solstice, I’m honoring two great fathers.

My father, who has guided me with an inspiring heart, genuine unpretentious strength, and unconditional love. 🫶🏽

And Father Sun, whose golden rays are my medicine, awakening seeds, nourishing my garden, warming my skin, always reminding me that growth is possible. 🌱

Today both Suns stand in their fullness. radiant and generous.

12 years with my babe and 9 years married, and still my favorite place to be is with you. So much life, love, change, growth, and a trail of beautiful memories all woven into these years. I am so grateful for these chapters love, all we’ve shared and all the ones still to come. ♥️💋🔥

Spent some much needed family time at home in the desert 🏜️♥️ soaking up the Arizona sun, the food made with heart and soul, the long walks, the great talks, but most of all… the love of my family.

home in the desert 🏜️ for the holidays 🌵♥️

the light in the desert is softer this time of year, the air cool and clear. it was so satisfying to watch the land rest in its unique ~ Winter in the desert ~ way.

There’s comfort for me in the familiar horizons, in the resinous scent of creosote that filled our epic hikes, and most of all in the big/open hearts of my family. 🥰 Thank you for taking such great care of us this trip.

Spent the holiday wrapped in the company of the ones I love ❤️💚 sharing meals, memories, laughter.

It’s the season for returning: to the place and to the people who will always have my heart.

Taking photos at big events is always a balancing act. Crowds everywhere, moments slipping past, and you’re just waiting for that one clear frame. With the Sunoco Porsche 917/930, I waited close to ten minutes—finger on the shutter, patience running out.

Funny thing is, right when I was about to give up, the crowd started cheering for me to get the shot. One click, and it was worth the wait.

Sometimes the story behind the photo is just as good as the photo itself.
