"They posted a Craigslist ad looking for real monsters. A skinwalker, a vampire, and a demon all showed up."🎥🐺💀

🎬 "THE MONSTER PROJECT" (2017) | Found Footage Horror

A YouTube horror channel posts a casting call for real-life monsters — and gets exactly what it asked for. Three subjects: a Navajo skinwalker, a vampire, and a demon-possessed woman. One remote mansion. One lunar eclipse. One crew that has absolutely no idea what they've walked into. Directed by Victor Mathieu on a $250,000 budget, The Monster Project is a found footage film with a genuinely brilliant premise — and the practical creature effects for all three monsters are outstanding, especially the skinwalker transformation sequence which is among the most physically committed practical horror moments in found footage history.

Where it wobbles is where almost every found footage film wobbles: connective tissue, pacing, and a third act that doesn't quite cash the cheque the first two acts wrote. But for a quarter-million dollar production, the monster work alone makes it worth your time. The concept is strong enough that a better-funded version of this film would be genuinely terrifying. 🌕🦇🌑

IMDB: 4.5/10 ⭐ (Underseen Found Footage With Practical Effects That Punch Way Above Budget)
Where to Watch: Tubi / Prime Video (Free)
Genre: Found Footage Horror / Creature Feature / Supernatural Thriller

💬 Did The Monster Project's concept earn it for you — or did the execution let it down? Comment CONCEPT WINS or NEEDED MORE — and tell me which of the three monsters got under your skin.

Is The Covenant 2007 as gay as The Lost Boys 1987?

Join us on Episode 91 for a nostalgic journey into Renny Harlin's 2006 teen bop. The Covenant!

Is this actually gayer than the lost boys?

A group of gorgeous, sexy and homo-erotic teenage boys that Nellie will forever beckon out of the closet. Anthony isn't just questioning his sexuality in this episode but also the sketchy dialogue and the 2006 inappropriate misogyny... Problematic yes, but forgivable? Also yes!

We talk about how this film touches on male relationships, father and son but also the bond between friends and how sometimes blood is thicker than water.

Trigger warning for anyone who deals with sensitivity around addiction as this episode we are digging deep into this concept.

Stick around after a folklore corner and the fuck yeah film factoids to find out whether Anthony and Nellie found The Covenant...

Spooky or Dookie?

THE ABANDONS

Saison 1 • 7x45' • 🇺🇸 U.S.A • 2025
Genre : Drame, Western
De : Kurt Sutter
Avec : Lena Headey, Gillian Anderson, Nick Robinson
Dispo sur : Netflix (depuis le 04/12/2025)

🎬 Synopsis :

⭐️ Note :
12,5/20 ★★★☆☆
