What if your Fashion Week invite was just… New Orleans?
If I were planning our little NOLA fashion crawl, these are the three stops I’d make:
Mary’s Rack — this one is SO cool because Mary can actually get to know your style and put together a rack specifically for you. Like… someone else doing the shopping and already understanding the assignment? Yes please.
Monomin — minimalist but feminine in the best possible way. Everything feels very clean and intentional without losing the pretty little details.
Hemline — this is where I’d go when I want a little statement piece OR when I’m feeling like I’ve gotten too comfortable with my usual “this is what looks good on me” uniform. There’s such a fun mix of things to try that it’s basically an excuse to experiment.
Anyway, consider this your invitation. We’re going shopping. 💌

Big shoutout to @katfinneyphotography for including our fabulous footwear in her recent post sourcing curated, local fashion inspo 🫶🏻🙌

“If I lived in the French Quarter I’d want to wear prints with birds and corduroys with clogs when it’s NOLA cold outside. So that’s what we’re doing here.”

Swipe through to see some locally curated inspiration for you and your krewe.

If you successfully booked the photos, organized the outfits, and convinced everyone that “taking family pictures will be fun!” go ahead and treat yourself to an Evolve matcha and a Velvet Cactus margarita/queso girl dinner.

Girl, you look straight out of Longue Vue with that spicy floral dress. Don’t sweat the long sleeves, these mini sessions fly by.

If I lived in the French Quarter I’d want to wear prints with birds and corduroys with clogs when it’s NOLA cold outside. So that’s what we’re doing here.

I envy Kenner residents for having easy access to the Dillard’s clearance store which for some reason, 21 years after Katrina, still only opens at noon. Kenner, get you some good deals for the rest of us please.

You got everyone dressed, outfits picked out, teeth brushed. Take some time to pamper yourself too. And thank God little Beau Bartholomew’s bowl haircut is easy to style; that’s one more minute to focus on getting yourself ready.

Metairie out here doing all the heavy lifting with the area’s first Trader Joe’s, a Total Wine, and the worst Target drive up known to America. You deserve the happy yellow ballet flats, Metairie.

Practice with me: “We’re just wearing this for 20 minutes and then we’re changing right into our St. Rita Fall Fest shirts.” And if that doesn’t work try, “Whoever smiles the biggest gets the first Droopy’s snowball.”

If you live in the Bywater and made it all the way to this slide, I’m very impressed and, quite frankly, shocked. Maybe for all of your troubles you should treat your cat to that lil Etsy hat.
