Happy Birthday to Miss Keisha. She is truly an amazing Christian lady, wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. All while being one of the best in her profession and being able to leave that there when she gets home. Our home is so blessed because Keisha loves like no other, is loyal to the core, believes in sit down dinners, family time, and loves board game night. I am forever Thankful&Grateful. Love you babe. Hope today is a great day.

I have already posted this picture but today was a true celebration of life for Coach North. I could never say thank you enough to him or Miss Sharon for all they did for me, my wife, and our four kids.

From him, Coach Merv Johnson, and Coach Gibbs recruiting me keeping up with and visiting with all my family members that made the drive from far NEOK NDN country to home and away OU games. Coach North and Coach Merv Johnson made sure they spoke with my momma, my uncles, and my aunties and after those games. Coach North attended my momma's funeral. He came into the family holding area and was hugged and loved on like family.

So from a kid were Coach North slept on my mom's couch during recruiting, then Coach Merv Johnson swapped out and slept on my mom's couch because we didn't have a phone to make sure nothing happened. They have been with me for the long haul. I saw Coach North after my senior year heading into alumni weekend and the spring game we visited. Before the draft.

I saw him at tons of coaches clinics, and then I saw him when Stephen Alexander had retired from the NFL and he told me I was going to coach with him, Coach North, and Jacob Gutierrez at Dibble. I didn't really think I had time or know if I wanted to and it ended up being a true blessing. Surrounded by great folks and learning and watching how Coach North could take a program of 14 kids grow it to 45 kids. A place with no wins to the quarterfinals in 4 yrs. Coach North and Miss Sharon impacted endless lives and I love and will deeply miss them. But, I know I will see them again. RECRUIT them for life is TRUE in Norman, OK. Forever Thankful&Grateful.

Our room is special on so many levels. The way our vets take our guys under their wing and look after them and encourage them builds a strong bond. A bond that could lead into college and beyond. So proud of both of these young men. Multi-sport, tough, good hearted warriors. I'm blessed to get to be in that room with the TM Family on Saturdays every off-season. Surrounded by great folks. Thankful&Grateful.

My heart is heavy tonight as God has called home one of the very best coaches, teachers, mentors, friends, and family members through decades of sweat equity. All the way back to recruiting me in the early 90's. Coach North was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. He gave endless opportunities for decade after decade to young people to better their lives. Even in retirement he continued that as is seen here in this picture with the staff he put together. This was one of the best times, because of the passion Coach North cared for the kids, the school, and the community.

It hurts and I want to be selfish. But I have to remember the welcome he received in Heaven and now him and Miss Sharon are healthy and together for eternity. Coach, you are loved, and will be missed. See you on the other side. Forever Thankful&Grateful. Rest Easy.

Had the pleasure of getting to spend time with my former teammate and someone I have the utmost respect for this morning. The myth, the man, the legend, from the Wood. Mr. James Allen aka (Fats) you couldn't ask for nor find a better teammate of human being to share a huddle or locker room with. I heard him say my name and it's been a hot minute since I last saw him walking into Soldier field to watch my friend LJ play for the bears but they shared RB room together and I called his name. I knew exactly who was saying my name. God is Good. A locker room can change your life forever if you will let it. That made my day, week, month, year. Thankful&Grateful.

The big 16 for the BIG Athlete in the family. Holden what an unbelievable journey just to this point. All the while God is teaching you of all folks some patience. We couldn't be more proud of the young man you are becoming. Keep working, treating people the way you want to be treated and know your time is coming. Excited to see what each day brings b/c of the energy you bring to our house and how happy you are as others find success. Never lose that trait. I hope today is a great day. No doubt NaNa has everyone gathered up and they are smiling down happy and proud. There is one birthday request from your old dad, occasionally let me out fish you. We love you. #WarriorUp
