I had the privilege of moderating a timely conversation alongside the youngest government official in 2019, who at the age of 26 became Deputy Chief Whip & a member of the OYHA @yusufadebisi_o also @laurel_official1 the Special Assistant to the OYSG on Project Delivery, key contributors speaking on Political Apathy & Youth Non-participation.
Earlier @inecnigeria stated 40% of newly registered voters are students. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 We’re waking up, but the rest of us can’t continue to see Election Day as just another public holiday. You can’t complain about the government toying with your future when you did nothing to control & decide who has access to it.

A good number of students indicated that they had to start their own businesses during the protracted 8 months strike & with the high youth unemployment rate it was important we touch on “Entrepreneurial Skill as a Recipe for Employment Opportunities” seasoned guests @henryars @kitiantraining , SEYI Alabi of @crop2cash & @adejokelasisiweaver who’s beautiful attire was made from wait for it…pure water sachets. How Innovative & sustainable does it get?!!!!! 😍

This night definitely got me in my emotions. That majorly explains the ugly tears at different points in the video. 😂😂 I never saw myself being the girl bawling her eyes out at her engagement but things happen, ladies and gentlemen. 😌

It had been 4 very full years of doing life with my best buddy on 10/09/2022 and I simply thought we were going to dinner, per usual (we do a monthly anniversary outing every other month). The week and the start to the weekend had been a lot so I certainly was looking forward to spending a tiny part of my evening with this man (tiny part because I had to be back at a work thing).

Alas, I walked into what is now another chapter in a beautifully put together God-story. It’s been one step at a time and look where we are now. We’re right where we need to be and with the people we need to be with.

So stoked I get to do life with you, and I’m earnestly looking forward to doing so much more with you for as long as we both shall live @ak.kolawole 💞

PS: This man and a community of friends put all this together. Of course the tears flowed even more. 😂🥹
