Hard work but totally worth it 🥂

They look effortlessly polished, glamorous, and expensive, but let me tell you—the maintenance is anything but effortless. These waves are carefully styled, shaped, pinned, and set to create that smooth, red-carpet finish, so keeping them perfect takes patience and a little discipline.
Please don’t run your fingers through them. Don’t touch them. Don’t constantly move your head. Avoid humidity, wind, unexpected hugs, and anything that might disturb the shape. Honestly, don’t even breathe too heavily. 😭🤣
The moment you start brushing through them, tossing your hair around, or treating them like casual everyday waves, the sleek definition can quickly disappear. Every curve and bend is intentional, and keeping that polished glam look means protecting the style as much as possible.
So yes, they may look soft and effortless, but behind the scenes, they require serious hold, careful handling, and a little bit of standing still. Just stand there, look expensive, and let the waves do all the talking, babe. 💁🏻‍♀️✨

This International Chefs Day, we’re going Behind the Pass 👨‍🍳

Meet Dean, our Executive Chef, whose passion for food and creativity help shape the dining experience across the Vale Resort, Hensol Castle and the Distillery. From overseeing our kitchens and menus to bringing functions and events, big and small, to life, Dean plays a key role in bringing it all together.

Join us behind the scenes as Dean shares a little about his team, what inspires him in the kitchen and some of his favourite dishes from our new autumn/winter menu 🍽️

One behind-the-scenes look is just the beginning. Who’s next?

An absolute gem: magic, soul, and authenticity all in one place ♥️

What makes this place truly special is that it doesn’t try to be like any other. From the very moment you walk through the door, you realize you aren’t dealing with an ordinary business, but rather a project born of the heart and absolute passion.
Visiting this distillery 🍸was a fantastic choice; it completely exceeded our expectations thanks to the excellent variety and quality of its activities.
It is an ideal spot for industry enthusiasts and those simply looking for a unique and fun outing alike.

Had a lovely autumnal afternoon tea at @hensolcastle today, treating J’s nan for her birthday! She used to work at Hensol when it was a hospital, so it was lush to stroll down memory lane with her. Safe to say there wasn’t a scone in sight back then 😅

This is a new menu, it apparently changes about twice a year and this got us in the mood for autumn 🍁🍂 it was all lovely, thoroughly recommend as a treat. It’s £32pp, and with that there’s a whole box of teas to choose from or coffees… or you can upgrade to prosecco, gin or champagne options - the gin one is a bit of me 🥂🍹 the gin tour, tasting and making experiences at @hensolcastledistillery are fabulous too, still dead proud of my gin!

Take a walk down to the lake if you go, it’s beautiful! It’s going to be even more pretty in a few weeks as the leaves turn 😍
