Old Friend is a contemporary live-fire grill coming to Wayne this fall.

Who knew two busboys from Al E. Gators (circa 1987) would one day open a restaurant together down the street. We’re excited to see what you think!

Main Line, you really said “let’s give the city a run for its money” and I’m so here for it. Every new opening is one more reason this is exactly where you want to be.

A few spots coming to the Main Line that are officially on my radar this fall:
@thebakeryhouse604
@vintnerstable
@tacoheartphilly
@alessandrosenoteca
@saltkoreanbbq
@fearlessrestaurants
@martiniandroz
@oldfriendwayne

Give them all a follow, save this for later, and send it to the friend you’re inevitably going to convince to try all of these with you.

Veal sweetbreads are one of the kitchen’s most classic delicacies.

Think of them as the fine dining equivalent of a chicken nugget. Crisp on the outside, exceptionally tender within, with a rich, buttery flavor that has earned them a place on restaurant menus for generations.

Ours is finished with charred Tropea onion, market peppers, and a fennel pollen gastrique, it’s a dish that balances depth, brightness, and late summer flavors.

Was lucky to stage at @forkrestaurant tonight with the invite from @henzy____ . To see behind the scenes of this level of fine dining was an absolute dream come true. The way this whole team works together in sync was very impressive and inspiring. I got to help fry up some laminated pastries for their beef tarare and take a bunch of mental notes . I came to see how a crew like this work in unison so that I can one day I can hire some help at the cafe and lead in the same way. I am in no way trying to be in fine dining but it’s good to understand what it takes to be at this level . Also shout out to my old shop mate @jawnglass who is now working on the line there . Keep crushing !

If you haven’t gotten to try their food don’t sleep on this Philly staple .
