#qotd : What made your week? Oh what a beautiful, difficult, worthwhile week it has been for me. I've just become a mum to a healthy baby boy. I've laughed a lot, but also cried a bit here and there to be honest. Looking at my bookstagram feed has made me feel comforted despite my inactivity in posting and interacting. I've read all your tags, posts, and I'm really excited to jump back in. But not quite soon. 🌻 Thank you, @charmingcharrm for the tag! 🤗 Here are some of my highlights: • Something that made you laugh I didn't pack enough clothes for my husband as I thought we would only stay for a few days in the hospital. He asked for more clothes to be delivered and to his surprise / dismay, he only received one set! We were to stay for five more days. It really made me laugh that my stitches started burning! Poor guy. 🤣 • A hard thing you accomplished Breastfeeding! • A thought you had I started getting annoyed with Bunny's character in The Secret History. I wish I had brought my pens and highlighter but that's already a luxury for now. Having brought this book, some tabs, and a pen is enough. And boy did I have a lot of thoughts to write! But so far, I have enjoyed reading this book!!! #qotd : What's a book or series you're planning on rereading this year? #aotd : I'm planning on rereading The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Anne of Green Gables this year. The former, so I can introduce the lore to our newborn who's joining us soon, and the latter because I've always loved Anne. monday 🧸 life has been busy, but i'm pulling through. i finally bought a yoga mat! now i'm officially following my physical therapist's advice and doing some stretches for my back (the ground is not as comfortable, believe me). i hope to get back into posting more frequently and not have weeks in between each post. last night at the telegraph club is the latest book that i bought, and one that i've had on my wish list for some time. q: what was the last book you bought? 🌱 a while ago, @bookishdamzel and @littledollreads tagged me in the 'dear reader tag' 🖋 - did you complete your 2022 reading goal? yes, i did! i had a goal of 30 and read 34 in the end. - what's your 2023 reading goal? mine is 30, i have a busy year ahead, and i'm not sure how much time i will have. besides, reading should be fun and not a chore. - 2023 five-star predictions? howl's moving castle (buddy read with my friend), entangled life, last night at the telegraph club, the memory police & iron widow. - what series do you want to read in 2023? i'm horrible at finishing series, but i hope to continue the cursebreakers series, six of crows, and hell's library. - what book do you want to reread? the song of achilles, and annotate it this time !! - new year's resolutions ☕️ ^ read more classics this year, my stack just keeps growing ^ try to do more buddy reads ! ^ non-bookish resolution - make more time for myself tagging some people to join this challenge :D -- tags: #book #bookstagram #booklover #readinggingerbee #readingaddict #tea #hotchocolate #coffee #bookphotography @readinggingerbee #books #mybookfeatures #goodreads #pride #lgbtq+ #queer #reading #read

Hi!!! I'm back!!!??? HUHUHU WHAT'S UPP??? It's been a month (I think? Haha) since my last post! Goodbye social life talaga because of my crazy job work and side hustlessss! Hayyy 🫠 anyways, thanks @tteokbookie for this #coffeebooktag lols, I have a reason to post my random life events hahaha. ☕️ Espresso (book that was hard to get through) Circe- Idk, but I didn't had a hard time understanding The Song of Achilles, that's why I got my hopes up in this book, but, girl! It's so hard to get through (for me) and a little bit slow, sorry Circe 🥲 ☕️ Cappuccino (book that everyone has read but me) Reminders of Him- I feel like I'm the only one who is not excited when this was released. Idk, Colleen Hoover is great but I've seen some reviews about this book and most of them says that it's kinda overhyped, sooooo that's why until now I haven't read it yet haha. But I'm excited for It Starts With Us, though. 🫶🏻 ☕️ Latte (a sweet read) Love on the Brain- idk, but for me it's both cute and sweet. I'm not that fan of a romance but I enjoyed reading it, not so much drama, very calming, not cringey haha!!! Actually I liked it more than The Love Hypothesis, but they're both cute sweet! 💗 ☕️ Mocha (an emotional read) One True Loves- ??? Haha I'm not sure, but I remembered crying (ugly crying beh!) at 1AM over this book because I pitied so much the main character that I cannot comprehend the fact that, what if I'm in her situation!??? Huhu she's the main character that you don't want to be like. 🫠 ☕️ Macchiato (fave read this year): Beartown- I'm not a series type of a reader, but since it's a Fredrik Backman's work, it's amazing! It's not a usual type of a book that has a single genre, for me Beartown series talks about everything, like, politics, society, gender equality, violence, sports, family, and everything hahaha. Go give it a try! I'm currently reading Such A Fun Age and it's good, but as I said, I've been very busy this couple of months huhuhu and I hate it 😭😭 I missed reading, playing steam games, I miss sleeping!!? 🫠 Hahaha. Annyeonggggg!🫶🏼 It's been a while!(: 🤷🏻‍♀️I've been in a reading slump for almost several weeks, glad i decided to re-read one of my fave books from one of my admired authors. 💁🏻‍♀️My eagerness to complete the physical copies of #BeautifulDisasterSeries has been a top-priority because I was only able to read them on ebook format years ago, you know the 'cant-afford-days'🥺. fragments from literature´ˎ˗ ✧.* thank you for the tag lovely @mykasreads <3 because i've read so many excellent books, this one was quite difficult. i'm pretty sure there are words out there that are in hiding that i accidentally skipped. i usually can't remember words from a book, some are, but... only the emotions and feelings that are left with me. it took me some time to create this i am glad i annotate books!! i hope these words touch your soul as much as they do mine. stay safe ♡ here’s a quote that… lives in my heart “so, i guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. and maybe we'll never know most of them. but even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. we can still do things. and we can try to feel okay about them.” [the perks of being a wallflower, stephen chbosky] i need to hear in the film/show adaptation “i can’t draw you.” i push out my bottom lip. “why?” his eyes remain locked with mine when he says, “i’m not that good of an artist. i don’t think i could do you justice.” [without merit, colleen hoover] irretrievably broke me “she is the noor of my eyes and the sultan of my heart.” [a thousand splendid suns, khaled hosseini] brings me comfort “i give myself a good cry if i need it, but then i concentrate on all good things still in my life.” [tuesdays with morrie, mitch albom] describes me “she was a girl with a mountain to climb” [the book thief, markus zusak] i find most poetic “but there is balance to it all. one withers, another grows. birth and death are part of a whole” [the five people you meet in heaven, mitch albom] took my breath away perspective. it makes me wonder if i look at things from only one point of view. i tend to think a lot of people are wrong a lot of the time. “do you think i only see things from one perspective?” he doesn’t look up at me when he says, “i think you know less about people than you think you do.” [without merit, colleen hoover] “yet love can move people to act in unexpected ways and move them to overcome the most daunting obstacles with startling heroism” [a thousand splendid suns, khaled hosseini] #fragmentsfromliterature
