Meet Herb Roe! Born in Southern Ohio and Northeastern Kentucky, he received a scholarship to the Columbus College of Art and Design in 1992.

After apprenticing with Louisiana mural artist Robert Dafford for 15 years, he brought life to large-scale murals across the region. Now a fine artist since 2007, his oil paintings celebrate Acadiana's rich culture while embracing his Appalachian roots!

We are so excited to share his work with y'all this Saturday at the AcA for the 2026 Pin & Post Reveal!🎨

And just like that, another month of connecting artists and audiences through cultural exhibitions and innovative community-centered programming.

A special thank you goes out to our exhibiting artists @eleanorowenkerr, @jacquelinedeeparker, and @herbroe. As well as our community partners at @ebrparish.schools and @mckinleyelementarybr for helping us connect with our communities smallest learners. Thank you to @visitbatonrouge and @btrairport for helping us reach newer audiences.

Another note of gratitude goes out to our staff, interns, and volunteers who continue to show up and foster such a collaborative and welcoming environment for all.

And of course this would be nothing without recognizing all of our supporting members and sponsors who make all of this work possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
