Families are traveling from across metro Atlanta for a photo with Black Santa.

At Greenbriar Mall, Black Santa isn’t just spreading holiday cheer he’s creating moments of representation, joy, and affirmation for kids and parents alike.
For many families, this isn’t just about a Christmas picture. It’s about seeing yourself reflected in holiday traditions, making memories that last for generations, and reminding kids that magic can look like them too.

Rodney Brown Sr. didn’t set out to become a Black Santa.

His daughter first pushed the idea. His sister bought him a Santa suit. Then a house party introduced him to Dion Sinclair, known as “The Real Black Santa,” who steered him further toward the role.

Brown’s path has included a private studio in Conyers and two years serving at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza in Los Angeles.

Now he’s in the chair at Greenbriar Mall, with bigger plans beyond December. Read @mikejordanatl’s full story at the link in bio.

Christmas in July was a whole MOOD! We had the best time hosting families at Mood Café this weekend! From cookie decorating and frozen cocoa sipping to coloring sheets and catching up with the one and only Santa Brown (in summer shorts, of course 😎) the joy was real and the memories even sweeter.

Thank you to every family who showed up, smiled big for mid-year Santa pics, and made our first official event so special. We created a little holiday magic in the middle of summer and trust us, this is only the beginning.
