Her Eyes Haunt Me - "As your eyes close over" (Single, 2024) | Blackgaze

Today, we present to you a fantastic new single debut from Australia. A one-person project, @hereyeshauntme, that plays post-black metal with a very. however. blackgaze flavour, and brings the song As Your Eyes Close Over.

The track is not particularly long, but it really provides a lot of thrills. It’s very atmospheric, there’s a lot of modulation on the guitar, the riffs are very melodic and memorable, and on top of that, the rhythm section also holds the level. So many dry facts, while, as it happens in this kind of music, you can feel a strong charge of emotions, especially since the lyrics all the way mourn a great longing… For someone? Or maybe for something? The author says that the music is about mental health, so this could be a clue.

So hopefully, we’ll hear more extensive material from this project soon. While it’s hard to give an opinion based on the one and only track of Her Eyes Haunt Me, in the case of this single, we’re dealing with a really beautifully sad and good song. May there be more, and may it be with a strong message!
