I’ve been hearing all the rave about this spot and can say it deserves the hype. We came towards the end of the day where a lot of the items were already sold out. The brisket was very tender and the sausage had a kick to it. I’m not a huge mac and cheese fan, but this definitely hit the spot.

What a night 🤠🙌🔥

📸 On Monday October 5th, friends and colleagues throughout LA's food & beverage industry gathered for @bmrsfoodjobs annual #LAChefCon . Hosted at @citymarketsocialhouse , if you were there you felt the energy. Maybe you ran into your favorite chef or an old friend. Most likely, you took a bump of @imperiacaviar or had a second helping of @westholme Australian lamb. You certainly enjoyed panel discussions featuring award winning chefs, journalists and purveyors. We even had East Coasters like @dhmeyer and @chefkwameonwuachi in attendance. Throughout the day one thing was certain, absolutely nothing beats spending the day at LA ChefCon.

🔪 As the photographer, I spent my day bouncing between the three theaters and hitting as many culinary tables as possible. Was lunch a foodie paradise for anyone else? I sampled the best that LA's chefs had to offer. They crafted each bite with love while discussing resources and sharing knowledge with their culinary comrades. At end of the day this conference reminds us that a rising tide floats all ships. That this industry is at its best through collaboration and communication. Thanks to #LAChefCon for providing that space. It was an honor to capture it.

Santa Ana keeps giving us reasons to come back. 👀

This weekend’s find: @lehutdinette — a retro diner-meets-wine bar from Chef Ryan Garlitos and the @heritagebarbecue team, tucked inside one of the coolest spaces in DTSA.

We came for brunch with friends and immediately loved the vibe: vintage, casual, a little nostalgic, and absolutely buzzing on the weekend.

On the table: 🍓 Japanese milk bread French toast, 🔥 the Santa Maria Slam with smoked tri-tip + tallow-fried potatoes, 🌮 fish tacos, fresh blue corn sourdough, and of course, mimosas. 🥂

Classic American diner energy, but with California ingredients and that unmistakable barbecue influence.

Brunch was fun.
Next time, we‘re coming back for dinner. ✨
