Week 19 Part 4 My biggest disaster to date!

There is only one person to blame and it’s me! I ordered this bath from @heritagehardwareuk such a long time ago and I really felt it was going to work well in the space….but the combination I chose was enamel on the inside…which I still think works well…and brushed copper on the outside, which is ALL WRONG 😭😭😭😭

I can’t quite get the right words out but everyone who has visited the house during my mini crisis agrees, it just looks wrong. There is something about the side of the bath that makes it look like it has been sprayed a copper colour rather than it being the actual copper but I know that it isn’t. I think this bathroom being more on the traditional side makes the brushed copper look too modern somehow, or maybe the bath is vying for attention in an already quite busy space?

I know I have a lot of very experienced and talented interior designers following my so I’d love them to be able to articulate why this is so wrong in this space. I do like the size and the shape of the bath though so after a lot of deliberation I’m going to have a go at painting it - do you think I’m bonkers???

I’m going to call Anna at @fenwickandtilbrook to get some advice on paints and colours because again choosing a colour in this space isn’t easy, I have a lot of green already but anything else just looks a bit like it’s one more thing too many 🤯

So, in short, everyone who kindly said I was very good at the decor side of things…I’m sorry, I’ve let you down and royally f’ed up! 🥺
