Careers in pro sports go way beyond the playing field!

Area high school students got a behind-the-scenes look this week through our 4th annual Widener / Philadelphia Union Work in Sports experience.

Students from St. Augustine Preparatory School, Upper Merion High School, Springfield Township High School, and Archmere Academy joined us at Subaru Park and WSFS Bank Sportsplex to learn from Widener faculty & students, and Union staff.

Topics included fan & game-day experience, hospitality, communications & public relations, sport physical therapy, and ticketing & sales.

We’re so proud to be the official university of the Philadelphia Union and to be able to offer such unique experiences!

St. Augustine Prep continues to expand the opportunities available to our young men as they prepare for life beyond Richland.

Under the leadership of Director of College Counseling and Student Services Kyle Nichols, our Counseling Department has established new strategic partnerships with @saintjosephs University, the @universityofscranton and @desalesuniversity —providing qualified Hermits with access to guaranteed admission opportunities and merit-based financial aid.

These partnerships represent more than additional college options. They reflect our commitment to providing students and families with greater clarity, confidence, and opportunity as they navigate the college process.

We are proud of @hermitscounseling's work to develop relationships that create meaningful advantages for our students—and excited to see where these new pathways lead our Hermits!

A firm handshake and strong eye contact go a long way, and our seniors are ready to conquer College Interview Day! 🤝 👀

This week's Mock Interview Day provided the Class of 2026 the opportunity to fine-tune their interview skills with some of the best and brightest representing our Hermits Alumni and alumni families.

We extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to our volunteers who participated as well as @hermitscounseling who had our seniors extremely well-prepared!

Join us in celebrating our driven seniors, their dedicated counselors and the fantastic Prep community who consistently support them as they strive to reach their goals! 🎓🙏
