It's International Women's day. This is not really an "exceptional" day to me because the fight for gender equality is everyday. We are strong as hell and we stand for ourselves EVERYDAY. We have to put up with society's bullsh*t EVERYDAY. Our transgender sisters are unvalidated and left out of the fight EVERYDAY. We are told to tone it down EVERYDAY. We get assaulted or harassed EVERYDAY. We are shamed for how much of our body we choose to show or hide EVERYDAY. We get told we cannot be who or what we wanna be EVERYDAY. We get called the "Second Sex". And yet we stand strong. Yet we prove them wrong. We keep carrying on the fight that so, so many women before us have fought. So to me, Women's Day is everyday. But I'm still using today to mention some of the strong, badass and beautiful women I admire, whether they're friends irl, online friends, celebrities or authors.
