*Personal Post*

4 years ago (picture on left) we had just went to the Elite 8 on an incredible cinderella run that was one of the most exciting experiences of my career up to that point.

On the personal side, I was dealing with extreme stress, lack of sleep, barely eating and training was an after thought- to sum it up: I was putting myself on the back burner like most people do when you feel like you have to choose between doing your job really well vs. taking care of yourself.

I took that picture at the end of the season because I knew I had a choice: Make excuses and keep going down that path, or do something about it.

I decided to do what I was constantly telling my athletes to do: get the right people in your corner and practice what you preach. So I hired @hernandezstrength to write my program so I could be accountable and I stopped making excuses about my training, nutrition, sleep and overall lifestyle. 4 months later, was my first after picture (picture on the right).

When people say “it’s really that simple”, it is. Most people know what choices they’d have to change or do more consistently to see results. But it’s the choice to commit to that every day- you don’t need to be perfect, you just have to start.

And as put together as everyone always seems on social media, I thought it was important to show everyone can struggle during different seasons of their lives, but you can always choose to make a change and improve any situation.

Shout out to the people in my corner and special shout out to @hernandezstrength, I’m probably the most annoying client ever.

Vanderbilt Lacrosse ‘32⭐️⚓️

I am honored and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career playing D1 lacrosse at Vanderbilt University.

First, I want to thank my parents and brother, David, for all the love and support they have given me on this journey.

Next, I want to thank my teammates and coaches at Ultimate for pushing me everyday to be the best version of myself. A special thanks to Coaches Katy O’Mara and Talia Zuco. #beultimate

I also want to thank my earliest coaches, Coach James, Coach Kim, and Coach Sean, for introducing me to the sport I love. My amazing school coaches, Coach MC and Coach Oliver, helped me to grow not only as a player but also as a person. I learned so much from my 1:1 coaches and I can’t thank them enough. And shout out to Hernandez Strength for all the speed and conditioning work over the years, as well as Worthy Volleyball Plyometrics for the chance to cross train.

Lastly, a huge thanks to Coach Hewitt, Coach Kendall, Coach Leva, Coach Mobar, and Director Gracey for giving me this amazing opportunity!
