A year of PBs!   
When I started running in April 2024, I used to tell myself that I’d never EVER run a marathon. That same year, I signed up for a half-marathon race less than two months out, with no training. Since then, my tenacity has continued to grow, and this year, I signed up for four back-to-back races with no real plan.

All jokes aside, this year has truly disciplined me and opened my eyes to how far I’ve come over the years.

A very special thank you to @herrunofficial @amal_abdinasir and all the wonderful women in this incredible community. Thank you for continuing to support me on my running journey.

TCS Sydney Marathon 42.2km – 4:21:25
Nike After Dark Tour 21.1km – 1:48:57
Melbourne Marathon 42.2km – 3:56:40

And with that, my 2026 race calendar comes to a close 🙆🏾‍♀️

To all my clients who hyped me up, checked in on me and kept asking how the half marathon went you were honestly part of the whole experience 😂🤍 First of all @herrunofficial Amal 🤍
Thank you for having the most dangerous attitude of “anything is possible” because apparently I took that VERY literally.

I had only ever run 5km.

Did I train properly for a half marathon?
No.

Did I see everyone getting the runner’s high, get FOMO and think:
“Yep. My next run should be 21.1km.”
Unfortunately, yes.

So off I went to Sydney for Nike After Dark like this was a perfectly normal progression.

5KM • WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I DONE?
I was already questioning my life choices.

15KM • okay…
This is normally the part where I’d be like “good effort babe” and go home 😂

18KM • NO SERIOUSLY, WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS?
Who are these crazy people that voluntarily do this all the time???
What is everyone running FROM???

At this point my brain had basically written my resignation letter.

And then somehow…

21.1KM • FINISH LINE 🏅

And that was the part that got me.

Your mind can spend HOURS telling you:
you can’t do it,
you’re tired,
you’re done,
this was a terrible idea,
Uber is literally right there 😂

…and then you surprise yourself.

Was I fast? No.
Was I prepared? Also no.
Was jumping from 5km to 21.1km slightly unhinged? Absolutely.

But I finished.

And it made me realise how crazy it is that sometimes the biggest battle isn’t even your body it’s the little voice in your head convincing you that you’ve reached your limit before you actually have.

You don’t have to be the fastest.
You don’t have to look like everyone else doing it.

Sometimes you just keep moving until suddenly…

you’re at the finish line thinking,

wait… I actually fucking did that. 😂🏅

Participation award secured.
Runner’s high FOMO officially taken way too far.

little late but last weeks round up of workouts…. plus a half marathon in Sydney for the Nike After Dark tour.

It wasn’t an easy week but we got through it due to my stubbornness (even thought that half mara was probably the hardest thing I’ve done) and now less than 2 weeks from @chimarathon ✨

Over 7,000 women descended upon the streets of Sydney to race the night away. Congratulations to all that ran and showed us exactly what you’re capable of. And here’s to the race that reminds us that running is about community, courage, freedom, and finding your people along the way. It was an honour to capture all of you beautiful souls out there. MARATHON MEDAL MONDAY 🥇

After dark Sydney with my girls @herrunofficial

Cannot explain how proud I am that so many of our girls completed their first half marathon last night and everyone PASSED THAT FINISH LINE!!!

Nothing compares to seeing your people cheering at the end of the line and I had my incredible friends @ somaya @rayhaan.nn and @ksafiyahh who came down from Melb and stayed out in the rain to see me finish my race. I love you guys so much 🥺🫶🏻.

Poured my heart into this

Ran my first 5km 2 months ago then signed up for a half 🔐
Ran my first 10km 2 weeks ago then doubled it yesterday.
Our bodies are limitless, thank god for the ability to move.
Exercise our potential, it’s only right.
