#Felabration26 “who are you?” i no be zombie oo!

performing this song on that stage meant so much to me.

@felakutiofficial’s message of freedom, consciousness, and refusing to be a zombie still resonates deeply with me. it’s part of my core.

it’s not about rebellion, it’s about knowing who you are and staying true to yourself!

sooo, paying tribute to that legacy through my own performance was truly special.

we no be zombies! 😤

and I have a feeling I’ll be back to do is again and again … hehe

I started Dah Race as a rapper before I found a new love. 😂

Then I was like Wait… let me test if I can still rap before I go back to my love fully. 😂

So… should I try rapping again? 👀

Big love ❤️ to my idol(inspo 😁) @olamide

Every artist I grew up listening to left something with me.
The emotion. The harmonies. The storytelling. The culture. The power. The texture.

I’m not trying to sound like any of them.

I’m learning how to take everything that shaped me and turn it into Kestrel. 🤎

Maybe finding your sound isn’t about becoming completely different from your influences.

Maybe it’s about becoming more yourself.

This is a little piece of my journey. 🫶🏾

What artist influenced the way YOU create?

First of all Big shoutouts to my Father.
For a long time, I was so focused on trying to sound different that I forgot to simply sound like myself.

Being compared to other artists used to make me question my identity as an artist. But the older I get, the more I understand that our influences are not something we need to run from they’re part of the story.
