Follow your dreams. Easier said than done, right?
If it was easy, everybody would do it. Life is going to happen whether you chase your dreams or not. Life been LIFE’N lately 😂. But somewhere along the way I learned to find the beauty in the process. The wins, the losses, the setbacks, the long nights… all of it.
I thank God for everything He threw at me because it prepared me for moments like this.
This weekend we officially started production on my first feature film, DEUCE. 🎬
And as proud as I am of that, what I’ll remember most is the people standing beside me.

@andersonvisuals.ig you changed my life bro. You took a chance on me and opened a door I didn’t even know was there yet. Imma forever give you your flowers.

@mnmonte21 I really couldn’t imagine doing this with anybody else. A mother, an actress, and now my co-director. Watching you balance all of that and still show up ready to create, problem solve and give everything you have to this film is incredible. You’ve believed in me, challenged me, helped carry this vision and been right beside me through all of it. I don’t take that for granted 🔒.

@hesblackent_ thank you for taking what’s in my head and helping me put it on that screen. For trusting my vision while bringing your own eye to it.

@fredericksaequon this weekend you stepped up and worked the boom when we needed it. That’s what a team is.

@univslza you wear a million hats for this production and keep everything moving when my brain is in 30 places at once. I appreciate you more than you know.

@thankgodforcoreyc when Za wasn’t available, you stepped right in, no hesitation. That’s the kind of person you want beside you.

@photography_by_laporte You became another set of eyes for me. Giving your opinion, catching things, watching what’s happening around me when I’m focused on the next hundred things. I value that. And to our cast thank you for trust us and bringing our vision to life, a script is just words until you make us believe it. Everybody has a different superpower. This weekend showed me exactly why I have the people around me that I do. - 🅰️VENGERS ♾️
