From Berlin to many meeting rooms across Germany. 🚆
This year’s „On the Road“ seminar took our students across the country to meet funding executives, broadcast commissioning editors, and streamer representatives. Along the way, they gained valuable insights into the structures, decisions, and processes that shape the film and television landscape.
Thank you to all our conversation partners for your openness, your time, and the many inspiring exchanges. ✨

Another inspiring year in Cannes! 🎬✨

Our DFFB student delegation recently returned from an intensive study trip at the @festivaldecannes, gaining first-hand insights into the international film industry through screenings, panels, and conversations with producers, programmers, sales agents, and filmmakers from across Europe and beyond.

Accompanied by DFFB lecturer and excursion leader @kathibildhauer, the group explored key industry spaces and engaged directly with international professionals.

From discussions on co-production, emerging industry trends, and the future of audiovisual storytelling to meetings with renowned industry professionals and visits to the Semaine de la Critique, this year’s programme offered a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the global film landscape.

We’re excited about the connections made, the ideas exchanged, and the cinematic discoveries our students are bringing back to Berlin.
