It’s been four weeks into the living room remodel and we’re getting closer! the house has been a disaster, my whole routine has been completely off, stuff is crammed everywhere, but it will be worth it! I’ve gone through about 5 gallons of paint and still not done. There will be square windows installed above the bookshelves and hopefully delivered next week.

Who knew that a pedestal would make for the perfect excuse to moonlight as a florist! I spent the last two weeks finding a million reasons to buy flowers for my @hettahome Arcade Pedestal. Gorgeous, sturdy and the perfect anchor to our dining room.

Fall has officially arrived in the dining room and it’s all looking so cozy! Our new @hettahome dining furniture has completely brought this room to life. We went with the beautiful Spindle Dining Table and 4 Amble Dining Chairs and couldn’t love it more 🍂 #cozyhomes #dininginspo (gifted)

The Bowtie bench by @hettahome is made to last. It’s solid oak with the prettiest tone and adds just the right amount of warmth. I love how the curves bring so much character to my tiny entry. It’s the perfect little spot to land when coming home and kick off your shoes. (gifted)

It feels so good to finally see one little area of our living room remodel coming together. There’s still a lot left to do in here, but this wall already feels like it’s always been here. And you can see a little sneak peek of the hidden door, which I can’t wait to share more of soon.

The kids walked in from school, saw the table all set and immediately asked, “Wait…can we have fancy dinners more often?” 😂🥹

Which is funny because dinner was not fancy. At all. I just set the table, pulled out the “fancy plates,” lit a few candles and made a regular old weeknight dinner feel a little more special. But I think that’s the thing about home.

We can spend so much time thinking it’s the big renovations or the pretty rooms our kids will
remember, when sometimes it’s literally just mom lighting the candles on a random weeknight
and making dinner feel like an occasion.

And apparently, it made them feel pretty special too. 🤎
Our new table is the Spindle Extendable Dining Table from @hettahome, and I swear it feels like it was
made for this room. But my favorite part might be that it extends to fit even more people around it. Because around here, a full table is pretty much the goal. 🤎

A little bit of modern, a little bit of old. This white oak coffee table from @hettahome brings so much warmth to the room, and I love how its clean lines balance out the vintage pieces and collected things around it. A good reminder that not everything needs to be old to feel like it belongs. 🤎
