Dreams are made of these people. These folk make dreams come true. Call it sap or call it gratitude, I don’t care— this wave/run of friends and music has my heart flowing. #flowstate

stolen from @hexcellenta because she’s super cool 😎
you can find her over at @cosmicnoisetattoo.
i’m gonna hold your hand while i say this. there is no good way to tattoo anywhere around your armpit. it’s a religious experience ☠️

I loved doing these special matching best friends tattoos for Flora and Moss yesterday! Such sweeties, and they had great taste in movies!

Also so fun to see healed work by a few new friends and a friend of their over at @cosmicnoisetattoo
If you like my work you will surely enjoy to work of these other artists as well!

Been on this one for years when I was honored that the world famous, massively talented, and now BFF @hexcellenta would conjur her witchcraft into this image for me with such sharp focus and heartfelt intention.

Upon seeing her art I threw up my arms and attempted to run out the door of her shop @cosmicnoisetattoo , overwhelmed with the perfection of it all. Or, in other words, when art, intention, memory, and connection flow with reciprocity.

With or without a tattoo Ruby, I got you. You and I girl, forever staring through the portal, past this illusionary world, and into what matters.

My final tintype of 2025 of this sweet family.

Thank you so much to everyone who chose to get their portrait done with me this year. 🌸
While I have been a photographer in some form or another over the last 30 years, circling back to analog and large format in the time of Ai and…. whatever this is(gestures wildly)… was just the medicine I needed to remember why I chose this.
Time moves so quickly now and discovering the wet plate process has forced me to slow down, to breath and to grow in confidence. This was a learning and building year for me as I collected the gear needed to move into studio portrait work as well as squeaking out my first large 8x10 plate before the years end. That was a goal I had and I’m proud of myself for making it happen.
I also got married this year, purchased (another) sailboat with my love⛵️, trekked across a swath of Tundra, grieved the loss of friendships, leaned into my Auntie Era, met some cool ass dogs, and started running for the first time in my life for recreation and not to save it.
Cheers 🥂 and may 2026 bring more adventures.
