Booked a solo trip to Holbox, Mexico less than a week before leaving with zero plans..
 Holbox has been on my list for YEARS (was supposed to be a 2020 trip..)

I have a wedding in Cancun this weekend, so it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. 
 Quick reality check tho for anyone planning a Holbox trip in October:

- It’s rainy season
- The streets are sand (so walking is... a choice)
- Golf cart taxis are fast and cheap
- It’s QUIET this time of the year, which was exactly what my brain needed
 Where I stayed & ate:

📍 @najholbox (they upgraded me to a pool view WITH a hammock) happi jessi
📍 @mrhappyholbox for breakfast, my morning office, and the first round of tacos
📍 @nomadeholbox for dinner 
📍 @casalastortugas for lunch (right in town AND on the beach, worth the splurge if you’re staying)
 Here’s the thing about traveling solo though…
 I loved the quiet. BUT there were still moments where I wished I could find the other founders and remote workers on the island. Someone to grab lunch with. Do a Pilates class. Sit on the beach etc. etc. 
 That is the exact reason my brother and I are building @hey.harvi

i’ve been cold emailing my way into rooms since i was 17. fashion week. a job that didn’t exist. and last week... the orlando sentinel AND the bungalower :)) Our first two articles EVER about @hey.harvi the day after our phone booth event in Orlando with @wellnesshausorl, i pitched every news outlet i could find. emails, website forms, DMs... ALL of it. most never wrote back. two said yes. (and two is a GREAT week!!) want the actual emails i sent, word for word? comment PITCH and i’ll send them to you!!
