This years theme was Thirty, Flirty, and Surviving and I could not have made it without all of my friends and family being there for me along the way. I wish I would have gotten more photos with everyone while celebrating but love and appreciate everyone who was a part of this year. Cheers to 30 🥂

Madeira was a surreal experience. The entire island can be traveled in under two hours in a beat up rental car, yet every winding turn was a different view that made you want to slow down. From seeing the sunrise on top of Pico do Arreiro, to an impromptu sunset hangout at Rib de Janela, to [multiple attempts of] chasing the fog in the ancient Fanal Forest, every minute of our time on the Madeira was something to cherish.

I’m deeply thankful for the views, for the adventure, and to have such an amazing lady by my side appreciating it all (and testing her patience) with me.

Shoutout to @livsndesigns - their EcoTrek pants made scrambling around Madeira’s trails and beaches easy. The Flex Canvas handled everything else—long drives, lazy café mornings, and rambling through villages—without missing a beat. Even Eva, who’s hard to impress, gave them a nod. Gotta appreciate gear that just works.

last month, i hosted my first *official* bapsang 🇰🇷
i didn’t know what kind of supper club i wanted to create, so i focused on the simple things: delicious food, great company, and heavy pours ;)

those are the lifelong recipes for a good time.

so, i picked a date, set a menu, and crossed my fingers. not only did the seats sell out in 4 days, but the outpouring excitement and support was overwhelming, and extremely affirming.

the dinner was everything i wanted, and more //

genuine friends meeting familiar strangers, sharing dishes and exchanging stories from forgotten corners and cornerstone memories, revived from primal desires to connect and cultivate meaning //

honoring my culture by sharing flavors from the motherland, and even creating new bites that excite and delight. and of course, korean food embodies a drinking culture so endless pours of pear martinis and plum daiquiris, while beer and soju would circulate the table for a clean break to cleanse the palate //

nothing makes me happier.

guests stayed til past last call while i sat with sam, thanking him (as my supper sous, i couldn’t have done it without him) and recapping favorite moments, groaning over a dish i forgot to put out, replaying service moments and how to get better, but giddy with joy, not even knowing i was starving because i completely forgot to eat, because i was so full of love&pride.

thank you to the homies who helped, those who got a seat & brought in new friends, and thank you everyone for coming along for the ride 🙇🏻‍♀️

i’m thinking about the next one… a menu that’ll help us beat the heat and sweat a bit at the same time.
