Earlier this week, our Nedlands service welcomed the Hey Dee Ho Early Education Program for a wonderful incursion 🎶💛

The children explored Auslan, music and movement, scarves and finger puppets, finishing the session with a calming meditation. 🧘‍♀️✨

The children were so engaged throughout the experience, and we’re excited to incorporate more music and movement experiences into our daily program. 🎵🌿

Hey Dee Ho is one of our inclusive extracurricular programs, visiting our service each week.

Through play-based music and movement, children explore concepts such as beat, rhythm, tempo, pitch and dynamics, while supporting the development of memory, motor and social skills.

Hey Dee Ho provides a fun and engaging way for children to learn through music! 🎶🥁✨

Hey Dee Ho- Intergenerational music session 🎵

Last week, Zarlah, myself and my mum joined the music session ran by Hey Dee Ho at the @arcareagedcare in gisborne.

This was such a gorgeous 45 minute session including: singing, dancing and music instruments that was inclusive for both children and the aged care residents.

Hey Dee Ho sang and danced to songs that were familiar to both children and the aged care residents- making is such an inclusive environment.

This was also a wonderful opportunity for both kids and residents to socialise, engage, and connect 🤍

This program runs every month in Gisborne ( need to book ) but on their website- they offer these programs through various locations.

We had such a wonderful time 🤍

We had a special visit today in our Kindy rooms with Brooke and Charlotte from Hey Dee Ho. Together we went on a walk around the garden exploring different creatures and sung songs as we discovered them, we then played instruments and moved our bodies to different tempos and beats. What a fun experience to have for our Friday. #avenuesearlylearningcentre #heydeehomusic #songs #dance

At Storyhouse Clydenorth, Fridays are extra special! We’re proud to host our wonderful Sing and Sign programme, where @Hey Dee Ho joins us to teach children songs in sign language.

Through music, movement and signing, little ones learn how to express themselves in a fun, inclusive and engaging way. Singing in sign language not only supports communication and language development, but also helps children build confidence, coordination and empathy.

It also supports those who may experience speech or language challenges, giving them tools to express their thoughts and feelings. Most importantly, it fosters kindness and awareness.
We love seeing our children light up as they sing, sign and learn together. Fridays truly are filled with music, movement and meaningful connection at Storyhouse Clydenorth!

Fridays are our favourite 🤩

To celebrate the end of the week, we dance, sing and groove with Miss Chelsea from Hey Dee Ho! 🎶✨

This free weekly music and movement session is always full of smiles and lots of energy — our children absolutely love it!

Miss Chelsea arrives with a treasure trove of fun props and instruments - along with the most beautiful singing voice! Her sessions gently nurture creativity, coordination, and growing confidence in our children. Even our educators can’t resist singing and dancing along 🫶🏼
