My MY MY! What a day! What a premiere! I have to thank the @hiphopfilmfest for an incredible evening! I got two standing ovations 😭😭😭😭😭. I was surrounded by so much love. This journey has been HARDDDDD but I’m here to see it and I couldn’t be more thankful 🥹I’m still not inside of my body! So let me share some highlights:

@juanita.gordon surprising me! You have no idea how much it meant to see you ❤️

Seeing @__jaycee28 ! Just seeing your face I almost passed out! Girl I missed u!❤️❤️

I met “Flash” from The Five Heartbeats. He said he will always pay for my pedicure because I look so good so naturally I want that on my tombstone.

Sharing this moment with @directbylee @alycemuhammad @heydev filled me with so much joy!

BLACK HISTORY IS PRATT HISTORY! For a little more than 135 years Black students have graced the halls of Pratt Institute and gone on to major accomplishments leaving a mark on the worlds of art and design, engineering, and liberal arts and sciences.

On this final evening of Black History Month, we are doing a massive photo dump showing the faces of just a few of Pratt’s alumni who have made, and are making, waves from the pulpit to political office, Hip Hop to the Olympics, and Broadway to Hollywood, in activism and architecture, and in just about every area that touches our daily lives. We experience Black alumni creativity when we shop for clothing, jewelry, and home furnishing, when we ride public transportation, visit museums, galleries or friend’s homes, watch a movie or television show, read a book, magazine or newspaper, take a yoga class, attend a fashion show, or watch a podcast.

Pratt’s Black alumni are everywhere and influencing everything. They are amazing!
