& June part ✌🏼

First month back in bali, ticked a lot of the must do list. Including but not limited to:

🌸 Bought my first Djembe, Darbuka & Sharmanic drum
🌸 Picked up my baby Saleem 🐈‍⬛ a kitten I fell in love with on a spontaneous visit to @villakittyfoundation in April.
🌸 Then found a stray kitten in a construction site near my home, named him Mish Mish (apricot in Arabic) & found him his best friend for life @dikamarfi (Jazak Allahu Khairan)
🌸Played my first full moon dj set at @oshom_bali Sunday ritual (actual post coming soon)
🌸 Prayed a lot & actually wore hijab in public for the first time 🤭
🌸 Experienced the Hindu celebration of Gulungan & Kuningan which was so special. (actual post incoming)
🌸 Celebrated our beautiful @susiehemsted & @joshlindsaymusic birthdays
🌸Drank a lot of cacao with dang cookies
🌸 Gym nearly twice a day everyday 💪🏼 & received optimal blood work again!
🌸 Went to a rabbit cafe in Canggu with the girls 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️
🌸 Smiled a lot, danced a lot and cried so many tears of happiness 🥹✨

One year in Bali. 🌺✨

Last month marked one year since I followed a whisper from my soul and stepped into the unknown.

A year ago, I left behind the familiar and trusted a path I couldn’t fully see.

And while this year has brought so much beauty, adventure, healing, expansion, and transformation, what I find myself most grateful for isn’t Bali itself.

It’s the women.

The soul sisters this island called into my life.

The chosen family that found me when I was thousands of miles away from home.

There is something sacred about the women who meet you in a season of becoming.

The women who witness your tears without trying to fix them.
The women who hold space for your healing.
The women who celebrate your wins as if they were their own.
The women who remind you of your light when you’ve temporarily forgotten it.

This year, I have experienced a depth of sisterhood that has touched my heart in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Women who arrived as strangers and somehow became family.

Women whose souls felt familiar before we even spoke.

Women who have held me through endings, celebrated new beginnings, laughed with me until my stomach hurt, sat with me in silence, shared prayers, dreams, sunsets, ceremonies, and some of the most beautiful moments of my life. And continue to do so today.

I truly believe some souls are written into our journey long before we meet them.

That there are people the Universe places on our path at exactly the right moment.

And when I look back on this past year, I see the Divine’s fingerprints all over it.

Every friendship.
Every connection.
Every woman who entered my life and left it softer, fuller, richer, and more beautiful than before.

To my soul sisters, my chosen family, my mirrors, my teachers, my sisters in this lifetime…

Thank you.

You have been one of the greatest gifts of this chapter and of my entire lifetime so far.

A year later, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

For Bali.
For the woman I have become here.
And most of all, for the women who have walked beside me as I became her. 🤍

✨ Forever grateful for the souls this island brought home to me.

I love you all so deeply xo
