Happy Birthday to my big brother, my built-in bestie, my forever protector, (cussing out uber drivers while I lace up their car with vomit 😂). You are the fiercest person I know 🌍✈️

Watching you out there living your life so fully, chasing experiences, collecting memories (one video/photo/voice message at a time), and leaving your mark wherever you go… it honestly inspires me to LIVE with my whole heart. Leave nothing unsaid. You inspire me to Laugh, dance, drink, wild out, cry, YELL, then wake up the next day and resume regular adulting activities! How can someone be so FUN and RESPONSIBLE at the same time lol!?

I hope this year brings you even more sunsets in new places, more laughter with strangers who become friends, more moments that take your breath away… and just enough homesickness to remind you how deeply you’re loved back here, and motivate you to take a spur of the moment trip home! 😘

And just so you know, no matter where you are in the world or which sunset your viewing, I’m over on my end of the world… looking at that same sky and hoping you are safe, happy, and feeling loved.

Thank you for being such a great brother, son, uncle, friend, and person.

I love you to the moon and back❤️! Keep living your life the way you do best… fully, freely, and full of fear, but doing it anyway lol (anxiety crew! lol). 💛

The last 6 months have been a SPRINT and a BLUR. 🫨 NEVERTHELESS, a much delayed appreciation post for 2025 - a year filled with multiple life milestones. I’m grateful for my life, my health, my family & friends, and Beyonce.

- Turning 40
- Opening of Storm King Art Center project, a +3-year labor of love
- Warming Veer & Dan’s new home
- Convening with the Caucus
- Robbie’s first @Beyonce concert
- @Beyonce with Lydia & Kieran
- Mom’s first @Beyonce concert
- My first Minnesota State Fair
- Hard hat tours of the American LGBTQ+ Museum’s first physical home
- Moving in with Robbie (& our first Christmas tree!)
- Buying a house
- Christmas in SC

2026 Goals: Make less sad noises, avoid clean glass doors, & any situation that results in having to track down your AirPods outside a bar in the rain on a Sunday. Shoutout to everyone who's been part of this ride.
