FLORENCE, AL - Ever tried a MULAS or BIRRIA TACO? If not, Rancho in Downtown Florence is a great place to start! A mula is a crispy, cheesy tortilla loaded with meat and all the good stuff, kind of like a quesadilla meets a taco. 🤤 Birria tacos are packed with slow-cooked, tender, seasoned beef, tucked into tortillas dipped in flavorful red consommé and grilled until crispy. Make sure you dip them in that rich consommé broth before every bite. Both have become hugely popular for a reason. Crispy tortillas, melted cheese, tender meat, and BIG flavor. 🔥 Rancho Mexican Bar & Grill 📍 322 N. Court St. Florence, AL 35630

If you’re craving some Korean food in the Shoals, while we don’t have a local Korean restaurant, Bibigo is a legit brand in both Korea and America and I just found these at Aldi’s in Florence. Heat this up and add some kimchee from Publix (the jar, not the bag), and you’ll have a pretty authentic Korean meal. As someone who always misses his mom’s homemade Korean food, this hit the spot for me.

SHEFFIELD, AL - Hey Shoals and @itsjawzfoodreviews try Yummy Wings in Sheffield, AL for the first time. I finally linked up with Jawz and we got to learn about each other's background and talked local Shoals food while trying a little bit of everything at Yummy Wings. We got into everything from honey BBQ and buffalo wings to Cajun ranch fries, a Philly cheesesteak, garlic parmesan wings and crispy tilapia. And if there's one thing that stood out, it's the seasoning. Jawz put everything to the test, breaking down the flavors, the crunch and what makes a good wing. Of course, we couldn't leave without finding out how Jawz rated Yummy Wings out of 10 👀 We also got some of his recommendations for other spots around the Shoals, including @fourthplanetbbq @souloftheshoals and Grumpy’s Place Big thanks to Jawz for linking up with us and making this one happen. We've got a feeling this won't be the last time! If you're in Sheffield, make sure to stop by Yummy Wings and show them some love! Yummy Wings 📍 324 S Montgomery Ave, Sheffield, AL 35660

SHEFFIELD, AL - Watch Josh Russell put together a beautiful Texas-style barbecue tray 🔥👌 There’s an art to putting together a proper Texas-style BBQ tray, and Josh from Russell BBQ has taken the time to learn it. He actually traveled to take a class on Texas-style BBQ and meat preparation, learning the techniques behind everything from the cook to the way the meat is sliced and presented. My personal favorites here are the pork belly burnt ends, smoked chicken, and the loaded brisket mac bowl 🤤 Russell Barbecue 📍301 Raleigh Ave, Sheffield, AL 35660
