2016 was my tenth year at #burningman, I made it out there for an entire decade! This was one of the best Color Days we hosted, where we ended the day back at the Flaming Ugly Cowboy Saloon, and @stellarkelly taught a Twerkshop. We made it a priority to stake out a front row seat for the Temple burn, and @djcosgrove made us fireside quesadillas. We didn’t know it at the time, but this was also the last official year of #OurHouseCamp. We brought out tons of virgin-burners over the years, had an incredible run with some of my closest friends, but some folks had kids, moved away, started dreaming of other Summer travel plans (the following year a group of us went up to another festival in Oregon to go watch the eclipse.) I’m just very thankful for our little playa family, the literal home we built ourselves in the desert, and all of the absolute best memories I’ll keep with me forever.

I've spent the last week processing the absolute beautiful, life-changing 9 days that was Burning Man. And I think I'll probably be processing until next year. What an incredibly mind blowing experience. I learned so much about myself & found new hope and faith in my fellow man. I was amazed at every turn. In many ways I really did feel that I was home..surrounded by so many others who seek to love, listen & see each other well, to pass whatever gifts we have on, to create & appreciate art & beauty, to explore & stretch our minds & bodies, to dance & jump & climb, to not only accept each other, but adore each other, to share our lives & live in community.
I think part of the reason @reallykindofamazing & I had such a wonderful experience is all the friends we shared the time with (new & old) - especially the ones we camped with #ourhousecamp who happen to be the best group of humans possible! I can't thank @katieanndenis enough for relentlessly looking until she found us tickets, and for bringing us into this family. I love you all & treasure the crazy memories we made (and will continue to make!). Spending time at the temple was such a special time for me. It was incredibly heavy & hard to see the evidence of so much loss & pain - people's tributes, photos, letters, paintings. But there were also messages of hope, joy & love written on those walls. Things that people had come to let go of. Words to live by. A box to place names of people you forgive. I placed my own name in that box, and was finally able to really forgive myself as I did.

I left the temple with the overwhelming reminder of how fleeting & precious this life is. That I want to cherish every moment & every person I get to bump into, and that the greatest thing I can ever hope to do is love well.
After having Burning Man in my heart for so long, I am so thankful to have finally made it there. Many more experiences & photos to share.. #burningman2016 #ourhousecamp #brc

Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to explore the @asianartmuseum permanent collection for a couple of hours before it opened up to the public for the day.
The 18,000 piece collection is one of the most vast and diverse in the country. They have the oldest dated Buddha in the world, Nepalese bowls made out of human skulls, a collection of tiny snuff bottles and a traditional tea house that was built in Kyoto, Japan, dismantled and reconstructed back in the museum (just to name a few things). At any given time there are only 2,000 pieces on display, as many pieces are rotated out due to light sensitivity. That means you'll always see something new every time you go.

The best part was gathering an amazing group of people with @priime to take in the beautiful space. It's one thing to photograph a place, but it's another thing to connect with it and the people you're with.

It was great to meet @thomashawk, @heysp, @trapexoid, @vivian.p.chen, @yourhiro, @leftf0otforward and many many more. It definitely couldn't have been perfect without @adrienney and @artchang.

Finally, a huge thank you to @asianartmuseum for given all of us this wonderful experience. You might be 50 years old but you've never looked better.
