With all of the parts and pieces that I find along the way
A family is the greatest thing that I will create

I didn’t know what exactly I needed when I left. A hug. Cooked food. Gladys Knight. Beres Hammond. Some sleep. Laughing. Wine. My mama. My best friend. Some family time. More hugs than I could count and enough “I love you’s” to carry back with me. I told Sun early on in our friendship that we’ve known each other all of our lives and this is just us finally meeting in person. That was almost two years ago and now we’re our own little family, sharing mama’s and thanksgiving dinners. I’m thankful that I have a place to go and somewhere to be. Grateful for the mom I have who has always been my best everything. I’ve been enjoying watching Sun and my mom adopt each other (and bringing me along, too lol). To all the plants we will get and all the pictures we will take, I appreciate you both for taking the time to love me back 🪴💛

Talk Thirty To Me 🤎

I want to thank God for seeing it fit for me to turn 30. Without Him, we are nothing. Prayers to the Most High.

To my dad, thank you for making the brave decision of keeping mommy & I alive 30 years ago. For understanding the task put on you September 12th, 1994. You are a great man & I pray you always understand how important you are. I am just like you in so many ways & I appreciate our relationship. Life isn’t meant to be perfect but every time I fall, you pick me up. Thank you for protecting our family.

Mama! Thank you for fighting for your life & mine. Thank you for fighting everyone who gets in my way. The words ‘I can’t’ never existed in our household. You believe in me even when I don’t see a way through. You’re my everything in this world & I thank you for growing with me. For being the universal mom. Thank you for taking care of my friends & being the best Gigi. I love you.

To my grandparents and uncles, I cannot express how much I love you guys. Always showing up. Always being there & ready to crack jokes with me.

Auntie Suzette! The best big sister in the world. The greatest aunt. Thank you for keeping mommy sane & from killing my father lol. Thank you for showing up 30 years ago and showing up today. Thank you for every conversation & being a protector. You are my parents person & I’m so grateful to have you.

Feeling so grateful for these ladies who flew with me and those that flew in to meet me for quite literally the most EPIC bachelorette of all time!

Hopefully third time is a charm trying to post this 🥹

I had to pre-write this caption because I love to go on a rant about Sundai. If you don’t know by now, Sundai is my best friend. Sundai narrated my promo video and is also the illustrator for the cover of my book. The backstory to this cover is so amazing that I’ve decided not to tell it (yet) but know that it was Sundai who inspired it before I even had a story to tell.
