Jeśli chcielibyście zatrzymać Waszą historię na zdjęciach, napiszcie do mnie i umówmy Waszą sesję 🤍

Give me a backyard wedding.

The one where the bride and groom dance around the pool to CCR instead of walking down the aisle, dancing with every single guest on their way to the altar.

Where the ceremony is officiated by their son-in-law under a freshly shingled gazebo, barefoot. Where most of the afternoon is spent crowded around the bar with two-ingredient cocktails being poured by a bunch of mouthy Italians.

Where the photographer happens to be the groom’s daughter, so the camera gets passed from hand to hand all day. Where people ride a 30-year-old zipline buzzed on Bud Lights, and desperately Google how to spell “reverend” so the marriage license signed on top of the laundry room washer is actually legal.

Pure joy. Dad’s married! 🥂

I stumbled back across this session and immediately knew I wanted to bring it into the style that feels like me now.

And I think that’s one of my favorite things about photography.

Styles change.
Editing changes.
We grow. We learn. We see things differently.

But the part that actually matters?

Her laugh between her parents.
Bare feet in the sand.
Windblown hair.
Being picked up and spun around.
The way they looked at each other when nobody was worried about the camera.

That part doesn’t age.

Four years later, these images still feel like something — and that is exactly what I want your photos to do.

As a Missouri family and couples photographer, I don’t want your gallery to feel like a collection of everyone standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera.

I want the movement. The chaos. The tiny hands. The belly laughs. The wind in your hair. The way your family actually loves each other in this exact season of life.

Whether I’m photographing a family here in Missouri, a couple somewhere along the California coast, or one day documenting people at all of those dream destinations I keep tucked away in my head, that will always be the goal:

Photos that feel like you.

Because someday, the things you thought were the “imperfect” parts might be the exact things you’d give anything to experience one more time.

That’s why I love lifestyle family photography and storytelling couples photography so much. It isn’t about making every moment look perfect.

It’s about making sure the real ones aren’t forgotten.

So yes, photographers evolve.

But the moments?

Those were worth documenting all along. 🤍
