I am the eldest of six children in a
British-Jamaican family deriving
from St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica.

My mum became a single mother to 6 of us. As the eldest, I held a lot of responsibility, and perhaps this is where I get this idea of wanting to guide, educate and care for people.

Families like ours often face
significant barriers including poverty-related issues, stigma and adverse childhood experiences, and whilst life was never easy growing up in Aston, Birmingham (described by AI as a deprived-urban area), we never went without. My mother always worked hard to ensure our basic needs were met.

Today I celebrate my mum Janet for doing the best she could with what she had. ❤️

This Black History Month, I’m switching things up. I’m tired of our stories being framed mainly through trauma, and I’ve realised I’ve often underplayed my own.

So this October, I’m declaring My Personal Black History Month: a chance to honour myself and the people who have shaped me.

Join in, share your story, and let’s bring more joy into the narrative. @paulahemms @heze_gray @tk_1990

⚽️ Wednesdays: 5pm–6pm
⚽️ Thursdays: 5pm–6pm

Each group is limited to a maximum of eight players and includes a mix of academy, MJPL and good-level Sunday grassroots footballers 🙌🏽

Our sessions focus on developing:

⚽️Speed and acceleration
⚽️Agility and quickness
⚽️Plyometric ability
⚽️Core strength and conditioning

Our longest-standing, high-level academy player has now trained with us consistently for over two and a half years, while the majority of our players have been with us for well over 12 months. Their continued commitment speaks volumes about the quality and benefits of these sessions.

Places are booked in monthly blocks and must be paid for upfront. Please note that no refunds can be given. Only sessions cancelled by us will be credited to your account.

Several groups are already close to capacity, so if your player is committed and wants to improve please send me a DM.
