For the third year in a row, I recently had the honor to support a project that is very dear to me! The Work of Art program (WOA) at Inner City Arts, led by the incomparable @hhornlien , makes room in the world for young artists to explore their creative practices. The program's core is to expand access to the arts for downtown LA area youth who wouldn't be able to develop their creative practices otherwise. Also doubling as a college and career prep program, WOA helps young artists gain a strong footing in creative professions, and makes pursuing the arts in higher education possible.

Each year, I dedicate all the resources of my own creative practice to show the WOA theater interns what collaborating with design professionals looks like in the context of theater and live performance. The interns worked with writers @megtabaque and @drewparyzer to create "Brain Freeze," a heartfelt original show that explores anxiety being driven by both AI and the hidden worlds of immigrant youth amid increasing xenophobia and blind authoritarianism. As the high school interns work with professional writers, artists, designers, directors, and producers, they're given the unprecedented opportunity to develop the voice of their generation with unrestricted access to all the knowledge, tools, and resources of their professional collaborators.

Out of respect for privacy of the student actors and artists, I will give acting credits to @innercityarts Work of Art Program. To the student actors, I wish to say that your work was incredible, your heartfelt message in this show was immeasurably impactful, and your future as storytellers and world-changers is limitless. Creative careers come with many unforseen challenges, but don't give up - the world needs you more than you will ever know.

Joined the BKR Dance Company this fall. It was definitely a push to learn and shoot this in a handful of rehearsals. But the passion was fire with this group of ladies.

Much love to @by.karmaraines for creating a space and platform for us working adults to continue our dance journey after 30.
