For the longest time, my world was just a viewfinder. Caught in the beautiful, breathless hustle of Hanoi, running between lectures, endless projects, and the heavy weight of my own ambitions at FTU, I was always looking for a horizon I couldn’t quite reach.

When the doors finally opened, I stepped out into the world three times.

The first was Japan. I was just an observer then, hiding behind the safety of a camera lens, letting the sheer, overwhelming scale of an undiscovered world wash over my bare eyes.

Then came Poland. In the quiet, slate-grey chill of Sopot, the noise of the world finally faded. Solitude became my anchor. I learned how to sit with my own thoughts, finding a gentle, fragile kind of warmth in the loneliness.

But this time was different.

It wasn’t about capturing the perfect aesthetic or finding myself in the silence anymore; it was about the messy, loud, breathtaking reality of connection. It was the clinking glasses at crowded izakayas, the shared, breathless laughter while running down neon-lit streets, and the quiet comfort of sitting next to someone whose background is entirely different from yours, yet whose soul feels like home.

We cross oceans, board flights, and wander through foreign cities thinking we are searching for ourselves. But really, we are just following the thread to each other.

That is Go-en (ご縁). The beautiful, destined collision of lives.
