Here comes a long and saccharin post...and a reminder to me (and to everyone else who might need to hear it) that we are powerful individuals who need to tell the universe what we need.

I managed the Moleskine store at Century City for just over 4.5 years. When I started, the store was a mess in every sense of the word. At the end of 2021, I was slowly getting the ship back on course. At the end of 2025, we finished as the #2 Moleskine store globally. It took A LOT of work...and it took finding an amazing group of souls to help me run the store.

Just before I left for New York, my immensely talented and thoughtful staff painted these beautiful tiles for me. Unpacking them in our new place in New York is like having a small piece of that fantastic energy with me. This fantastic group helped our beautiful store grow out of her terrible twos into a feisty young woman who holds her own. I love and miss these beautiful people (not tagged are @maryannpianka who doesn't paint, but is my guardian angel in all things list and Excel related and @a3j3w3 who took over the store without missing a beat and can quote Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead like nobody's business!)

So...here I am in New York. Once again, I'm faced with a store that needs a lot of work-- but, I'm hanging in there. In less than a month I've hired 4 creative, talented, and eager new associates. I'm working my way through cleaning up stock and visuals. It's a lot of work. I doubt myself periodically. Yesterday felt like hitting a wall...but I know what I'm capable of. And I've got to keep swimming.

To everyone who's hitting their limits right now ..keep doing what you're doing. Look for the people who love and support you. Find the groups that lift you up and help you see your worth.

The work may not be easy, but we've got this.
