👀 LONG READ, SORRY 👀

Emma & Lola took over the account and decided to become our personal influencers. 😂

If you know our business, you know we’re truly a family business. Guaiquerí is six years old, and the girls have been growing up hand in hand with our business. They’ve been doing events with us since they were just 5 years old!

Being a mom while running a small business means these two are almost always by my side. They’ve grown up at our events, surrounded by this community. They know almost every vendor, have their favorites, and even have favorite venues and event organizers. ❤️

I want to thank all the vendors who have always been so sweet to them, who recognize them at events, and who are now happy to be part of their little videos. You have no idea how much that means to us.

When they’re not cashiering, they’re looking for other ways to have fun while we work, and now they’ve decided that making videos is part of their job. 😂

Because the truth is, small business life isn’t always sold-out events and great sales. Not every market is a big success, and not every day is easy. But if we get to go home with a little piece of the love, kindness, and good energy you share with us, and a few fun memories along the way, that’s a win too.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for letting our girls grow up alongside Guaiquerí. They’re growing up, our business is growing, and somehow, so is this beautiful community we get to be part of for six years now ❤️

After a quick turn around from the last comp, we made it to Hawaii ready for the 2nd Annual Curley Que Bbq Competition! Lisa and Crash put on a great event and had us in a location that offered beautiful views of Pearl Harbor.

After the last two Hawai’i comps and taking RGC at both, we were determined to get that win, and, persistence paid off! We ended up with some more turtles to add to our beautiful collection!

Results:
8th Dessert (out of 8 teams 🤣) tried something new
4th Chicken 🐔
7th Ribs 🐷
1st Pork 🐖
1st Brisket 🐄
Overall 706.274 and GRAND CHAMPION! Congrats to @smokin_volts_bbq on RGC, and everyone else who hear their name called.

People always say it takes a village and that could not be more true this weekend.

We want to thank Mel and Jason with @barbcudabbq who were our travel buddies this time around and not only came out to compete, but were a huge help in making sure we ALL had what we needed for our cooks! From COUNTLESS trips to MULTIPLE Safeways, Walmarts, Home Depot’s, Chefs stores and who knows where else, they made sure we were set! BBQ comps are so much more than a competition they are a time spend with our bbq Ohana! 🌺

Last, but definitely not least is a thank you to Les Hutton. This would not be possible without his incredible generosity! We truly cannot thank you enough for all you do!

Hawaii never disappoints and we cannot wait for next year, but, until then, we rest up for a week before Felton and then get ready for Lynchburg in October! #beefconsumeforthewin

What an unforgettable experience at the Curley Que Classic in Hawaii! 🌺🔥

First and foremost, a huge THANK YOU to Lisa and Crash Dejournet for hosting such an amazing event. The venue was fantastic, and if what we're hearing about next year is true, it’s only going to get even better!

Getting to Hawaii and making this cook happen was no small task. Between visits to 8 Safeways, 3 Walmarts, 2 Home Depots, 1 Foodland, U-Haul, Bill's Battery, 2 trips to Chef Zone, and what felt like 50 passes by the airport this adventure took a lot of work. But every mile, every stop, and every bit of effort was absolutely worth it.

We were also thrilled with how well our custom-built "Cuda Cookers," handcrafted by Jason, performed throughout the competition. They cooked like absolute champions all weekend! After making the journey across the Pacific, they're officially Hawaii residents and will be safely stored on the islands until we return next year. 🌺🔥

We are incredibly grateful to travel with great friends Cynical BBQ, and we couldn't be happier to watch them bring home the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆 Even more exciting, they punched their ticket straight to The Jack! Congratulations, friends! Huge congrats as well to Smokin Volts on earning Reserve Grand Champion! 👏

One of the best parts of BBQ is the people. We loved cooking next to our neighbors Darrell and Trish from Sweeties BBQ all the way from Louisiana. Congratulations on taking home the Seafood win! 🦞🏆

Our results:

🍰 Dessert – 7th Place (We tried, Craig! 😂)
🍗 Chicken – 2nd Place 🥈
🍖 Ribs – 5th Place
🐷 Pork – 9th Place
🥩 Brisket – 6th Place
🏅 Overall – 5th Place

A huge thank you to our sponsor Mudville for always providing the best products and supporting us wherever this BBQ journey takes us.

We were also truly humbled by the incredible gift of a challenge coin from one of the local military members stationed at Ford Island during Joint Forces Training after we shared some of our food. It was an unexpected honor that we'll treasure forever. 🇺🇸

🌺🏝️ Aloha from Hawaii! 🏝️🌺

There's nothing quite like bringing competition BBQ to the beautiful Hawaiian Islands and sharing this experience with our amazing BBQ ʻohana.

We're especially proud to be cooking with Mudville Prime products all the way out here in the tropics. From the mainland to paradise, Mudville Prime continues to deliver the quality and consistency we trust on the competition circuit.

Mahalo to everyone cheering us on from home! Stay tuned throughout the weekend for updates, photos, and hopefully a few walks across the stage. 🤙🔥🌴

Official Visit SZN 🌴🤙

No place in college football like Hawaiʻi 💚🖤

More than football, it’s about showing what makes this place special…the people, the culture, the Braddahhood, and the pride of representing an entire state.

Welcome to the islands
