For SF4AM & @88rising

It’s not every day that you have the chance to design the faces of a new group of artists. And even more the chance to bring on and collaborate with a former instructor @joon_ahn_art. Shoutout to @ironhead_studio for turning our Tokusatsu dreams into reality.

Hoping 88 revisits this fun IP—there’s so much more it could become.

“Take your broken heart, make it into art.”
Revisiting a concept I did a few years ago for a class with @joon_ahn_art , check the second image for the original one.
Took many liberties as it’s completely a fantasy piece with design elements from Mexica and Aztec art. The idea is that the conch shell sounds would awaken The Serpent that’s being ridden by Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, Lord of the Morning Star
Kitbashed in Blender from Sketchfab and Quixel Megascans models, lots of editing and render in Twinmotion and finally a load of work in Photoshop!

The invasion
Back history

During ancient times aliens visited earth and landed in Egypt. the Egyptian king who initially fought with aliens but after knowing their powers made a deal and let them have what they came for. Aliens took with them the seeds, plants and water from the rivers in huge quantities with their unique powers. In exchange he wished to travel with the aliens to their planet located in another galaxy far away in space. He was willing to spend a year there which meant 6000 years on planet Earth. Aliens along with the people of Egypt built huge pyramids before they left the earth as a monument of their existence and as a prominent sign to locate Egypt from space when they will return after such a long period. They left behind one of their spaceship for further expeditions.

Insiting incident

An asteroid which penetrated the surface of earth and reached the hidden alien space ship in a huge cave. The cave is huge with multiple connecting tunnels. A few tunnels also connect with the pyramid above. The impact of this incident is quite destructive.

Facts about the incident

The asteroid is actually a disguise which has an alien spaceship inside. The outer asteroid layer is just to take the impact on hitting earth's surface. Two large and one small pyramid arranged in a row are actually pointers for aliens to target the correct location. The impact is required to reach the spaceship hidden deep below the surface. The inside walls of the cave have a unique structure. The appearance of the aliens and of the Egyptian king who returned after so many years is quite unique and mesmerizing.
