If you’re ever at the MSA Annex, you really have to check out Hidden Hearth Bakery. It’s owned by 2-time James Beard semifinalist Alexander Phaneuf.

It’s such a cozy little spot that feels like a well-kept secret. I absolutely adore it! Whenever I stop by, I can’t resist grabbing a Decibel Coffee and a flaky croissant. It’s the perfect little treat to brighten my day.

Big thank you to Chef Mateo, owner of @rolliestucson, for welcoming me into his space and allowing me spend time with his beautiful family 🤍 moments like that are truly why I am doing this series!

What he’s building here goes far beyond the food. He’s creating a space for the community to come together, hang out, listen to music, and just enjoy life. His Sunday summer brunch is such a vibe. Good music, amazing food, and a place to just be! 😎

Bread man Tommy

Last week, our customer and friend Tommy brought us some of his finest work: delicious assortment of giant sourdough bread from Hidden Hearth Bakery at the Msa Annex. They are a great local bakery, and I highly recommend all of their baked goods to everyone.

Thursday afternoons at the Santa Cruz River Farmers Market now come with wood-fired pizza from Hidden Hearth. 🍕

Hosted in collaboration with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, @santacruzriverfm brings together local farmers, food producers, artisans, and community members each week to support a stronger local food system and our public market district initiative.

Every Thursday from 4–7 PM, stop by for fresh pizzas from @hiddenhearth and explore all the market has to offer. 🌱
