All of a sudden, on this beautiful night, the Miss World journey is over. At the age of 25, I finished a milestone, I completed a journey that I will cherish forever. All the hard work, tears, joy, revelation, fear and love I experienced in this journey suddenly wrapped themselves into a box. And I hear silence. Every challenge, every love, every excitement turned into a memory. I feel a mixed feeling I cannot explain.

But now I can understand one of the emotions which is gratitude to all of you who supported me, who sent me words of encouragement, who believed in me, who helped me and built me up as a person in this journey.

I told my mother: Mom, I feel in the last two years, I did slowly become a new person. Like what Jesus promised us, He would make us anew.
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Like my mentor said, God through Miss World journey had changed me into a more beautiful person. Not just meaning the outward appearance, but inwardly His grace beautified my soul, and in this incredibly challenging journey, He taught me how to have faith in Him when there seems to be no way.

And more importantly, He stripped away old falsehoods, and taught me to embrace the true teaching of Him, which is to deny myself and everything I used to lean on, but to lean on him completely, to love more bravely, to serve, to give, to feel and love this world, and open my heart to people, to make new friends and to have a new family.

Forgive me for my long thoughts and unorganized words. I just want to say: thank you everyone.
And Lord, how great Thou art.

On this day, I remember why I am here. From that person who chased to climb mountains after mountains just to prove she was worthy, to truly understanding she is made perfect and complete in Jesus Christ.

I understand, with a crown or without a crown, with glamour or without glamour, I am fearfully and wonderfully made by my Heavenly Father. He and my brothers and sisters love me the same as I am now, as I was before, broken, and forever in the future.

And this is everything I teach to the children and to the youth, that they do not need to prove to anyone, even themselves, their worth.

I stand proudly as a child of God, presenting His light He has shone on me, and the work He commanded me to do for the fatherless, the unwanted, and the broken souls.

Ngài cùng các anh chị em của tôi yêu thương tôi như chính con người tôi hiện tại, như tôi đã từng là trong quá khứ—một con người tan vỡ—và mãi mãi về sau.

Và đây là tất cả những gì tôi dạy cho trẻ em và các bạn trẻ: các em không cần phải chứng minh giá trị của mình với bất kỳ ai, kể cả với chính bản thân mình.

Back at home, there are many birds living in my backyard. Every day, I see them singing and flying so joyfully. I want to be a small bird, not to fly so high, but to fly freely and enjoy this beautiful world. So, for this occasion, I transformed into a beautiful and free blue jay, representing my beautiful country, which is covered with the most peaceful and beautiful natural landscapes. I hope to share with everyone the inner peace and freedom I feel in my heart when birdwatching in my backyard. Before I went on stage, I told myself: bring that joy to people, bring a smile to their faces.
I am so incredibly overjoyed to represent Canada at the 73rd Miss World. The “Hello Vietnam, Hello World” show took place at April 2 Square (Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) to celebrate Vietnam’s 81st National Day on September 2nd.
